Just wondering what you are going to do when the election is finally over! I never got into the political forums as that is not my cup of tea.  However, I did get into the posts addressing the housing debacle. I did get on my soapbox and pointed out where the blame originally started. I forsaw the problems over 5 years ago as I saw how some of clients were taking out the craziest mortgages either to buy or refinance. I warned them not to do it but they wouldn't listen & only cared about the amount of the much lower monthly payment & didn't think of the consequences in the future!!! As far as I'm concerned, most of the people in foreclosure just have to look in the mirror to lay blame.

    Hi, James

Thanks for the buddy invite. My dad rarely talked about the war, except with his church buddies. I do remember him saying that he delivered the mail by train between Austria (which is just a few miles from a small town in Slovakia, his birthplace) and Russia. I wish he had told us more, but back then the soldiers just wanted to forget the war and get on with their new lives. Especially after losing their family-owned farms to the Bolsheviks.

You're doing a great job of keeping the would-be socialists in line. The world is a little scary, especially with Russia starting to strut its stuff again. Even though I didn't vote for Bush, I'm now glad he was at the helm.

James, thanks for stopping by.  I hope things don't get too bad in the world but I'm trying to prepare just in case it does. A lot of people say it will get worse but I think it's pretty bad right now!  I hope you have a plan if if gets real bad.  I'm trying to make plans but I don't think I will ever be totally prepared because I just don't know what may happen. My nephew is buying a generator but that's a little too expensive for me right now.  Don't laugh but I went to the army store and I bought a pair of very expensive boots that are guaranteed not to get wet inside just in case I'm going through the woods with my cert team searching for people.  I actually had to buy a small men's size because they didn't have women's sizes.  The small size fits good though so I'm happy I bought them.  I've got my eye on a pair of night vision goggles that are on sale.  You never know when you may need them!  I think I've learned too much with my cert team about things that could go wrong but better prepared than sorry.  At least that's how I feel.  I hope you have a wonderful day.
