About me I used to work for a mutual fund company, and was a bond trader. Now I am a consultant and trade part time. My goal is to consistently make more than I lose so I try to trade a risk adverse strategy. My goal is to not keep any long term positions on unless they are extremely undervalued. I trade stocks, bonds and options.

WERE IS THE SURF SPOT ON YOUR POST WALL.IT LOOKS LIKE RINCON-PIONT.
Today it was workin' for me.... Hopefully I can continue the trend tomorrow. Your portfolio is rockin'... nice going Vic.
HIG up another 9% today...nice pick. As you said, you can't lose when you take profits. And I'd say you're doing quite well as is, ranking in the top 50. Keep it up!
Vic, good to hear from you. HIG managed to avoid the carnage today and has had three straight winning sessions since tanking. Who would've known. I think you short will still come through, though. Looks like your others certainly are, though! On the loyalty points, I don't have all that many...14,000 or so right now. I don't tend to make too many trades nor post a lot on the forums, and it seems like that's how you rack up the loyalty points. They should be announcing the Sept. loyalty point winner here soon, which I believe should be (and hope it will be) karand. She's been a WSS trouper for a long time now. Good luck in your run to the top!

Well Vic, FNM and FRE do not present much value but I'm hoping for a "pop" while I'm looking for greener pastures. We need to get some better grip on where the market is headed, but perhaps it becomes clearer after the election. In the meantime I'm long on coal this week. However, coal was not performing well today. Hang in there and keep it green!
Hi Vic, I'm usually long and that's why my portfolio is in the dumpster. The only short I attempted today was LVS but it did not go my way so I had to cover. Currently I'm long on PDO, DGP, DBS, FNM and FRE. The interest cut today should put some pressure on the greenback which in turn favors commodities.Hope you'll make lots of dough in the "real" world!
Well Vic, it seems you are doing pretty good with your real money portfolio. Writing calls is a great strategy in this market. Energy and financial stocks took a real beating lately, but they are the first to change direction when the economy picks up again. Who knows when?Keep up the good work!
Thanks, Vic. I've gambled on bank stocks to rise (everything's a gamble these days) and they followed suit. We'll see if it continues. Good luck to you with the real-world trading! Tough row to hoe right now with real dollars...
Hi, vic thanks for dropping by. Hope you're making a lot of real dough. I'm trying to avoid losses and going nowhere, but better than losing my shirt....:=)
