I'm beginning to understand what it feels like to be in a whirlpool...... I' going down the drain!!!!!
Hurt? More like got my legs taken out from under me! Thanks for the advice, I'm hoping to spend a little more time on the site trying to learn the ropes.
Ouch, your port got hurt today. From what I can see, WWAT is in a long-term downtrend, don't try to buy and make money because the odds are against you. Same thing with GRO and PCG. Thing is, stocks TREND. They go up and down while going DOWN and they go up and down while going UP. It is critical that you look at a 2 or more year long chart to see what it's doing before you put in an order.
Thanks for the info W. By the way, I like the picture with bull.
Hi trav, when you "short" a position. Basically what you're doing is borrowing shares and selling them with the obligation to buy them back later giving you the ability to make money when a stock price falls. When you buy them back, you close the position and it's called "covering your short".
hi trav, thanks for being a buddy have a green day
Can anyone explain the concept of "cover" to me?
Whitesquall, I've been in this for a couple of months. No formal training, just trying to figure it all out.

Hey Trav, looks like we're pretty much in the same boat here. How long have you been trading? Where did you learn? I've been in this about a year and a half, but I took a course last fall through Tycoon Research called CRISS and since I've been learning it and applying it, my success has greatly improved. You?
