By ASHLEY TEFFER The Holland Sentinel Posted Oct 15, 2008 @ 10:21 AM Allegan, MI — Allegan-based pharmaceutical maker Perrigo Co. will announce a $25 million expansion of its manufacturing facilities in Allegan this afternoon, Oct. 15, according to a press release. The announcement will be made at 2 p.m. by Joseph C. Papa, Perrigo’s CEO and chairman, and Rob Hillard, Allegan’s city manager, at plant No. 4, 663 Hooker Road, Allegan. Perrigo recently acquired Holland Township-based JB Laboratories. Perrigo is one of the worlds largest pharmaceutical makers and employs more than 3,000 people in West Michigan. Its Allegan plants are responsible for 30 billion out of the 35 billion tablets the company produces per year.
