Are you referring to stocks that are releasing earnings reports that day? It is risky but if you know if business has been doing well it's going to go up, and will go up even more if it beats the street predictions. Scottrade has a free e-newsletter that is sent out daily with the dates of earnings reports. I haven't tried this strategy but it could work to make some money.
