Citigroup loses $2b.  Beats expectations.  Up 1.65 ~9%.  Brings banks up with it.  This explains why I don't do wss in the real world

What's up eh? You guys from Ontario (Paperclip in Mississauga, happybooker in Guelph, & Booker in Toronto ) are rock'n it! Have you ever been to London, ON. Years ago, I dated a pig farmer's daughter near there. I almost joined the clan. Happy trading.

I've been using a similar strategy, except trying to short each peak, and cover before the next.  It was working great for the first two months but in the last week I really wish I had just been holding the shorts I established last Tuesday (I think it was?) when FNM and the financials had that huge rally.  Instead I covered to take profits, and didn't get the bounce I was looking for for another entry.

I also went short FNM and FRE on Friday, and got blown out.  I'm also still holding - I think the odds of the shareholders getting anything are pretty slim.

Anyways, it's nice to see a fellow Ontarian leading the pack.  good luck!

Find a trend (banks in the toilet) and then ride it.  Tough out short term disturbances (I'm staying short in Fanny and Freddy.  The talk reminds me of a baseball manager being given a "vote of confidence" by his GM.) Don't take it seriously.  It's play money.  (I much less risk averse here than in real life.  A portfolio made up entirely of shorts?  Suuuuuuuure)
