About me I think global warming is caused by the sun. Period end of discussion. That good things rarely come to those who wait. Patience is a virtue. The best things in life have been bought already and can be had still, for a price. That a person who desires nothing for themself is very content with their life. That 1 x 0 can equal 1. Ask a foolish question and get a foolish answer. That ice cream is the answer to making peace with a neighbor or anyone you have a beef with. Ice cream is GOD. God I love ice cream. I think I'll go get some right now! Go have some and see how it makes you feel. See what I mean?

    Hi

I found your comments concerning the difference between Freedom Fighters and Terrorist quite interesting.  You covered many countries in you comments and made some very valid points.

In Northern Ireland there are Terriorist on both sides of the conflict, but the press only reports on the IRA.   I wonder why this is so???  So much is being with held from the rest of the world as to what is really going on there.

I'm not sure if you knew this or not but when the IRA was first formed they were referred to by many (especially the Catholics) as the Irish Run Aways prior to becoming organized.  Also many broke away from the original group because they wanted to continue with the bloody fights, where the original group wanted to get away from that sort of thing.

One person who is very interesting in this conflict is Jerry Adams, President of Sinn Fein, a political group that is trying to win NI independence through political means instead of violence.

One more interesting tidbit is that prior to any bombings they would call the police in the area and tell them exactly where the bombs were.  And I know of one occasion (which was devasting, where innocent people were hurt and killed) that the authorities ignored these calls.  So in my opinion, the Police are just as guilty as those that set the bombs.  Just my opinion, mind you...

I am very interested in the unrest in this area and firmly believe that England should get out of all of Ireland so that they can become a complete independent Nation, like the USA.

I have been told that this is not going to happen, but one can always hope.

I am of Irish desencent, and believe it or not I am not Catholic.  My family was once upon a time, but that was many, many years ago.

Take care and again I enjoyed reading your post and hope to continue this debate on England and their occupation of NI.

    Sincerely

Saoirse - which is Gaelic for Freedom! (In case you didn't know)

    Hi

Interesting writings I've read that you've written.  I have a question or two for you.  Do you believe in the saying that "One man terriorist is another man Freedom Fighter"???  Also what are your thoughts on Northern Ireland and the fact that we  get involved with so many countries internal affairs but refuse to do so against England and their occupanpion of that region?

Hi trampled, good to hear from you again. I don't have a clue about the square around my rank number, but it isn't for winning anything since I have never won anything but a t-shirt for the most posting once.

Aight, first off I agree that we pay a lot of taxes, but we need to. Any item you ever buy probably at one point was loaded onto a truck. Trucks drive on roads. Roads are created and maintained with government funds. Without the tax on our goods, where does this money come from. Secondly, like it or not, AMERICA IS AT WAR. In the last 200 years, there has never ever been a DECREASE in taxes. We spend 10billion dollars a month, and whether me and you want to, we are committed to finishing what we started. As for oil taxes, gas in other parts of the world has been as high as 14 a gallon for a long time. Sure I like cheap gas, but the truth of the matter is, the age of cheap oil prices is pretty much over, and unless americans want to keep spending more on oil (longterm) we need to pay more now, which will cause the people to change the consuming habits, which in turn will force the market to change to the will of the sheeple, i.e. new green technology that will be cheap and clean. This is inevitiably what will happen, whether or government does it now under their control, or we wait until there is hardly any oil left in the world (with current technologies oil will be gone, zip, zilch, in less than 40 years; that is, with the current consumption, but with the rise of china and india and other countries, the demand has gone up astronomically. As far as somebody losing a 750,000 dollar home Ed McMan defaulted on his multi-million dollar house; you know things are bad when the stars are defaulting on their house. And barack is going to lower taxes for 95% of the population (said so last night at the DNC) and why would he care if his taxes are raised, being a US Sentator he has a bigger pension than most peoples actual salaries. Lets face it, the rich need to be the ones to give up a little because they can do it without giving anything up. Why should we not pay taxes to the government? Do you tithe at church to be part of the congression? This country HAS given us x-boxes and golf clubs and edible underwear(lol) and that is why we should pay taxes. Because they protect us from foreign competetion in the market here at home, they protect us and aid us when natural disasters hit, they defend the constitution so that you can go out and by anything you want. And that is really the most sad situation, the fact that consumerism has replaced capitalism in this country. People live day to day because they can buy stuff cheap, we have been taught to believe that that is what you are supposed to do- buy a big house and a corvette, with a plasma screen in the living room and bedroom, with a surround sound stereo and water the lawn every day, even though there are people dying all over the world because they do not have clean water. Sure the last administration was totally F'ed and screwed this country real good, but we can fix it and Barack Obama is the man to do it, because whether he does all the things he says he will or not, he IS the first black presidential candidate and politically he is almost obligated to do great things in office (or at least try to, he has a very high standard to live up to because, i think, all the black population will be looking for him to make change and he cannot let them down or it would be a political disaster) and if all he does is decrease the dependency on oil, then the rest will fall into place no matter who is president. But as for now, if you vote for McInsane you are getting 95% of the same thing for the next for years (that is JM's voting percentage with bush); and I do not want to waste my vote by writing in anybody, not just paul, because if you write in a candidate, you might as well not vote. (But getting rid of the two party system is another discussion completely).

I don't know where you are coming up with this stuff; I do agree the baseball thing is ridiculous and I do think Pelosi is a flaming B-otch; but drilling in ANWR is futile because unless we create a government controlled oil company, the oil drilled in ANWR is not guranteed to come to the US- Exxon Mobile or whoever drills will sell it to the Highest bidder.  As far as issues go, can you tell me McCain stance on anything but the obvious issues? His energy policy is garbage and he knows it; it would cost hundreds of billions if not trillions to create that many nuclear power plants, and that is the only platform he argues for (that and his 300,000 for a new car battery). He is a typical party line voter, and when you think McCain will not be "More of the Same" think about this: John McCain has voted with Bush 90% of the time during this administration. Obama creates adds advocating for his ideas, telling you what he wants to do, and if you haven't figured out just exactly what his policies will be then it is because you have been relying on the mass media for your information. What does McCain want to do about the economy??? Talk about an issue and he has never even addressed it (maybe at a town hall meeting, but not to the country)- Obama tells you right up front what he wants to do WHILE getting attacked from every direction. It is simple: raise taxes by 3% for those people who make over 250,000; give tax breaks on the companies who keep jobs in America and tax the hell out of those that outsource. He wants to raise taxes sky high on oil because OBAMA KNOWS this will make the sheeple of this country upset, and change cannot happen when our country is as apathetic as it is now. When we are having to only go to the mall twice a week instead of everyday, people will fuel the search for alternative energies. Obama wants to talk diplomatically with ALL countries, ally or not and McCain is so closed mind and ignorant that he won't even talk to Iran, he would rather wait until we have to send our troops over and then talk with lead and blood. By not talking to these "hostile countries" McCain is holding democracy hostage (similar to Pelosi). Sorry, I will get off my soap box now, let me know what you think.

Whoa man whoa whoa WHOOOOOOOAAAAAAARRRRGGGHHHH!!!!!*$&%&@**@*^*@*$*@*$%*@%$*.  That's how all the bumps, bruises, scrapes, road rash, and broken bones feel from that quite impressive fall from my one day super climb only to find and use the slipperiest (is that a word?)spot on that first foothold upon comencing the same climb on the morning after such awesome picks.  I have fallen and I probably can't get up.  Not till the blood stops flowing from all those open wounds anyway.  I am telling ya'll, pick the same stocks I do just go the opposite way on 'em.

I am now an extra 20K further in the hole after making up so much.  To think I actually thought my luck had turned.  Maybe it will.  Somebody throw it at me.  I'll take it so long as it's not the bad.  Got enough of it to last many moons.  Peace and big returns on your real investments.  And rock on.  And don't forget to do what it is you been wanting to do.
