Stops have been ignored consistently for days. I was Long C with a stop at 22.79 and covered manually at 23.30 or so. Several others hurt me too. Ugh!

I just want to thank you for being my Buddy and wish you the best of luck on your Stock Portfolio.  The way the market is lately, it can change on an hourly basis.  If you read the "About Me" on my Survivor Page, you know that I am in the Income Tax Business.  Well, my wife Cathy and I get a great deal of pleasure out of helping people get the largest (legal) refund possible, so we thought we would start a Blog to post some helpful tips and tax information. I have started it off, very slowly, but I am committed to doing better.

Ugh. because Stops do not work, many times, I lost $8,000 today and would have had Gains instead. So, trade with manual stops or stand aside, I guess.

You're working with a system that automates stock picks, you say? That's very interesting. By chance, have you seen the website http://www.askstockguru.com? I think that a lot of their posted information is generated through a computer program too. I like the general idea that they have, and I too have personally been playing with creating a program written in Perl to semi-automate both the picking of stocks and placing the stock order. One thing, I thought, would be a good idea that a program should consider is whether any new headlines have been released about the specific company you're interested in. Especially for day trading, stock prices, I believe, are very dependent upon people's emotions and a lot of the general perception about a company comes from the news, so I really think a boolean trigger to consider headlines would be appropriate but there's so much information and websites to consider that I'm overwhelmed with how to do it yet. Also, a user would physically have to read the news released to see how it might impact the stock's price. Hence, the program would be 'semi-automated.' 

Yet anyways, I hope your system turns out well, I'd love to hear a bit about the approach you've taken with it. Are you programming this? Or part of team that's creating it?
