About me I know nothing about investing. That's why we have financial advisors. Insurance Agents to get insurance, Teachers to teach our children, etc. etc. I need to learn what it is all about now, because I really think the financial advisor I ended up with, didn't know INVESTING! I have not known what to do, so I am glad to have found this site. I have already decided I wasn't ADVISED well, and need to figure out what to do about the little bit of money I have left in my IRA Retirement account. Been losing money in both funds she invested in, for over 5 years. (LONG TERM GROWTH FUNDS, she said)!

    4susieQ...FIND A NEW FINANCIAL ADVISOR IMMEDIATELY!!!

    Make sure your 401k is beating 6-7% annual return or you're not going to be able to beat the rate of inflation.

    Best way to start investing is look at businesses in your area or places you frequent, look at how they are doing, do your homework on yahoo research and then start investing. It's a gamble but the more you prepare and research the better of you will be!
