What a time to start out in a market like this.  One of the best ways to profit from a falling market is with ContraFund ETFs.  This allows you to short market segments without having to pick the specific stocks.  The best funds lately have been EEV (emerging markets), FXP (China), and SMN (basic materials).  If you want a play on biotech, take a look at PBE.  Good luck in the rest of the contest. 

Ack! Horrendous, this is why I can't really invest. Our 401k and college funds are fading fast, this is just plain rotten.

Thanks for being my buddy.  Things have really been rough in the market this week.  I'm on vacation in Austin, TX and haven't been really keeping up with my portfolio and things have gone down.  Of course, I'm set for Congress to sign the bill so that my stocks will go up.!!! Anyway, if I can ever be of assistance, let me know.
