Thanks for being my buddy!
Appreciate the inquiry, got electricity back. Ike was an experience not to soon be forgotten. Its a reminder to appreciate electricity, water, food supply. Looks like the market has also been a wild ride.

Caps, actually it's already up. It's a blog rather than a column, and they also show publicly the picks I make with rationale--not picks in my regular portfolio but a second one for this purpose (which is losing!). This is a new thing WSS just started; pretty cool that they asked me to take part. Here's the starting point page... http://blog.wallstreetsurvivor.com/learn-from-experts/ From here you can click on my personal page.
Thanks! Yeah, the homebuilders have enjoyed a nice ride over the last 24 hours. I'm happy (and furtunate) to be aboard. You've got a nice jump going yourself right now!
It's cooling off...finally into the 90s. But the best part of the year is soon to come. Makes it all worthwhile. Looks like you did pretty well on the airlines today? One of the few good places to be right now. Good luck!
I have the general impression that a bull market is currently occurring. Buying and waiting until final hour to establish a short position for the following morning is the best bet. I expect profit-taking in a general price reduction occurring next Monday. Disney is very strong and may go to 33.
In the last hour they have changed the potential path of the storm. The current computer model puts it along the Gulf coast but that could be from Louisiana to Texas. The folks in this area are filling up their gas tanks, buying water, checking their flash lights just in case.Nice Labor Day gift. We don't want it here but hope New Orleans doesn't get it either.

You requested the stocks I deem worthy: MGM, Txn, RCL, MOT and DIS. They tend to have long-term slopes of the price graph in either direction making them easier to predict.
IPHS is covering my losses
In the opening announcement the shares fell, which to me is a bad indicator. Then further into the report it came back. One $ is disappointing future expectations. This is a 10 billion$ company. Word I hear is that one of the major stock holders{11%] of ANR is a hedge fund. The manager of that fund is against this merger. This could make the transaction a long drawn out process. Will the stock returns suffer while waiting on all the drama. I am bullish on both these companies but question the immediate returns.
