    Ebay and you.

Ebay, now this is the best place to buy technology hands down. It pretty much has any model or make of computer you prefer and you will never pay retail. If you have any issues about using Ebay then start off small and buy locally.

I absolutely love eBay, but I have to say the big stuff does scare me!  Both buying and selling.

My nephew bought a phone for his girlfriend, and when he got it he found out that it is only in French!  But I do buy and sell quite a few smaller things.  I know there are a lot of good sellers on there, and I think their rating system helps a lot!

I only buy items that are not too expensive (<$100) but I know people who buy cars that cost over $15000 !!
I think this guy is very brave :)

If you found the car on e-bay from a local dealer and actually had a chance to go see it and look it over, I could understand.  But to bid on it sight unseen...would not happen for me!!

The Attorney I used to work for had a client that bought a boat on eBay, sight unseen, and when he went to pick up the boat, found out it did not have a title.  Nothing wrong with the boat, but didn't check everything out before he bid.  Wouldn't want to get stung like that on that big of an item!

Ebay is also a great place to sell off your older electronics. Seems there are always people that are willing to take older technology  if the price is right. I've had good seccess.

I like e-bay for buying and selling. I like that you can check out the sellers feedback. My husband has bought junk venicles and motorcycle parts and has not had a problem with any transactions. When you are looking to purchase a vehicle on e-bay, there is a service you can contact that will check out the vehicle to see if it is a lemon. But he has purchased 6 audio receivers and everyone arrived with something wrong with them. Usually the seller will refund or send you a replacement. We only had one problem where we entered a dispute. Disputes are usually a detailed process and ebay is for the seller because the seller provides their income.

rosebud07 is absolutely right about checking the feedback. I only use those that have a very high rating - 97%+. These sellers want to keep that rating up and will do anything reasonable to do just that. I bought a calculator - with PayPal- through a highly rated seller. It was advertised as a TI 83+, but what arrived was a TI 83. I notified the seller the same day it arrived and that same evening got an email from him telling me my money eas refunded and to just keep the calculator. If that rating wasn't important, I don't believe he would have responded so professionally. I then left him more positive feedback for the way he handeled his mistake.

Always check the feed back, you can get a really good feel for the seller by reading the feedback,

I havent had any problems with anything I've bought on Ebay, mainly electronics and old radios.

I have saved a great deal of money by office supplies for my small business.  I could get toners, cartridges, etc. at about a third of what I had been paying at retail stores.

Brand name ink cartridges are such a big rip off. I wish they would see the light and reduce their prices. But is has created plenty of competition by secondary suppliers.

One thing I've noticed with prices brand name ink cartridges vs. brand name printers, the higher the cost of the brand name printer the cheaper the brand name cartridges for it and vice-versa.
