That was ridiculously that one member got up to $200,000 that one day.

He's at 154k right now. not too bad resting in first. Had he sold out of everything, he could rest and possibly take first by the end of the contest! It's a gamble either way. sugarbeatsthat has also been in the top 10 consistently, but lost several places in the last 3 days.

It's a beautiful market...you can do very well in one day alone. Good for him/her...my goal is to catch up...so just keep trading...

I took a hit yesterday. Luckily, it's just a fantasy trading game. Heh. Now i'm just going for the daily iPod prize, but three weeks time is still enough time to make it back up.

I want another member to come out of nowhere and win at the very end of the contest; that'd be kind of funny. The top person at that point would thinking he/she's got it in the bag, then no dice.

I am not too sure how this all really works. Do people engage in buy and hold strategy to increase their portfolio value or are you constantly suppose to buy and sell and with the excess money you make that goes on to your portfolio value? Any help?

Ryerson, To do well in the game, you may want to be a little aggressive. Go for quick gains. This means an active buying and selling strategy. Give it a whirl and report back!!! ;)

I'm a big fan of day trading...I haven't done it as often as I like so it's not reaps that many benefits for me now but I 'm not doing that bad. Active trading is def the way to go in these short contests!
