    The Peter Principle Administration

I know most of you are aware of the Peter Principle, where someone rises to his level of incompetence. There has never been a better example than Obama. It wouldn't be as bad if he was the only one. He has surrounded himself with people like Eric Holder,Janet Napolitano, Katherine Sebelius, and many many others, that don't have a clue as well. Holder's decision to try terrorists in NYC is idiotic. Napolitano couldn't identify a terrorist if it bit her in the A-S-S. Sebelius should be held accountable for the flu shot mismanagement. This is the crowd that wants to be in charge of one sixth of the economy with so called health care reform. It's not going to happen. If it does, the 2010 elections for Democrats, will make Custer's last stand pale in comparison.

irishgreek, You are so right. Except that I fear the majority will get their health care plan through one way or another. For some reason they don't care about the elections (short minded sheeple?)

short minded sheeple ?  hmmmmm yes I think I agree, but probably not the way you are thinking.

Naturally it is to be expected that those who did not approve of his agenda from the get-go will be even less happy considering he is doing as he promised,   54 promsises kept last time I checked.    And many more in the works.

Some of them I would have preferred he did not keep because I did not like them from the start, but at least he is doing what he said he would do and we have not seen that in a while from any politician.

Republicans had 8 years to do something about healthcare and did nothing, might not be so cut and dried next election as you are hoping Irishgreek. Especially since the republican alternative plan clearly showed that it would make things much worse for consumers and would only make it easier for insurance companies to scam the public.   A lot of people really dissappointed with that.

I'm glad we can agree to disagree. Your not quite as bad as some of the other whack jobs on the left. You try to temper your argument with civility at least.

Thanks,  and you are not quite as bad as some of the other whack jobs on the right either.

But I am not really a hardcore lefty on a lot of things, I am just really ticked at the republicans these last few years.

Mainly because they LIE when they claim to represent small business, because when you look at the legislation they have put before congress there is absolutely no tax cuts absolutely nada for anyone except the top income business that make over 18 million and a few bucks in tax cuts for the very lowest income bracket.

It IS mostly the business that rake in over 18 million a year that are predominantly foriegn controlled now thru major foriegn shareholders, and they are the ones who are developing overseas not here in America.   Tax cuts for them would help other countries as much if not more than it would America.

Same thing with their proposals for tax cuts on individuals,  absolutely NOTHING for the middle class, a nice cut for the top income proposed and a few bucks for the lowest income, but Nothing for those in between.

The republicans need to be slapped hard until they quit lying and start doing what they claim they are about,  and that is represent SMAll business here in AMERICA.   And they need to represent the middle class as well as the top income individuals.

The republican alternative healthcare proposal would be a disaster for consumers,  CBO analysis= less quality of coverage for consumers,  higher premiums for the sick and for those over 45,  no decrease in the uninsured.    The only ones who would benefit would be the insurance companies.

I am sick of government that ignores the struggling small business and middle class and just pander to the top and lowest income brackets in this country.

Speaking of lying, how about this administration's numbers on bogus jobs created in non-existent state districts. Democrats are also lying through their teeth on the health care package as well. Anyone that thinks this disaster of a bill will save money is nuts.

    Re: The Peter Principle Administration

See the thing here is that the numbers on the job reports are what is reported by the STATES.  So once again you have to lay the blame for that where it belongs.    State governments..   But anyway it has been corrected.

On the healthcare reform bill I do NOT rely on what the democrats say,  I rely on the CBO which by the way is a collection of private citizens Hired by the government ( republicans and democrats and independents to study bills and give reports) and BTW the head of the CBO is a republican.

The CBO slams both parties regularly and equally when the analysis of the bills do NOT show they will do what they are supposed to do.    I also rely on independent analysis from non-partisan sources.

Irish, you can correct me if I am wrong, but my best guess is you are relying strictly on the lies the republicans are pushing and have not even bothered to check independent sources.

There are no bigger liars than dems.  And I have showed you before the CBO misses the mark everytime, making their projections useless.  But you go ahead and believe them and your lying liberals since you are one of them.

Tell us how you really feel Ekko. I can't disagree with the lying part. I'll try not to put Barb in that category quite yet though. She does tend to buy the party line however.

Both sides of the aisle in congress does their fair share of telling whoppers.

And it is people who try to deny this that are buying into party line.

LOL, really funny I think. Isn't it funny that the errors on BO's website is someone else's fault? Let me guess. It is GB's fault. Or maybe the vast right-wing conspiracy's fault?

    On and on it goes.

That's his strong suit. He was elected to clean up the mess. He didn't tell us it would be a much bigger mess less than a year into his administration, because it actually is above his pay grade, so to speak.

    Re: The Peter Principle Administration

I was going to post a rebuttal to the originator of this thread. To make the very easy point that, George Bush was by far in over his head when it comes to incompentance, (peter principle). But then I quickly realized that in order to do so i'd have to devote the rest of this lovely fall day in Fall River.

Besides in order for the Peter Principle to apply to George Bush, one would have to assume he had some level of compentence to begin with...not an easy task. So i'll leave you with the following.

    88888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888

“Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S.”
—Presidential Daily Brief, Aug. 6, 2001

Despite the warnings, we never see the unthinkable coming; that’s why it’s unthinkable. Consider the briefing that landed on George W. Bush’s desk on Aug. 6, 2001: “Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S.” In the years since September 11, the once top-secret document has been used primarily as a political cudgel. The left has claimed that Bush was too busy “clearing brush” on his Crawford, Texas, ranch to heed the hints about hijacked planes; the right has responded that the memo was a recap of bin Laden’s longstanding ambitions rather than an actionable piece of new intelligence. Both arguments have their merits. But amid all the partisan bickering, we’ve overlooked the real reason the title is worth remembering: it reminds us that information won’t always protect us from dangers we can’t imagine. Bush’s subordinates—the people who were responsible, after all, for identifying and thwarting terrorist threats—knew that Zacarias Moussaoui had been taking lessons on how to fly a 747. They knew that an Al Qaeda intelligence report said that something “very, very, very, very” big was about to happen. And yet, because of some failure “of imagination,” as the 9/11 Commission Report put it, they didn’t sound an alarm loud enough to save the 2,976 people who died that day.

President Obama is doing very well. And i too have been disapointed here and there. He shouldn't have tossed in the towel on single payer, for one. But for the most part its at least re-asurring to know that there is someone in the White house that is a, hands on,  intelligent,... and doesn't butcher the English language.

    "mission accomplished...?
