I just saw on ABC World News that some of the Wall Street's taxpapers' bailed out firms got shipments of H1N1 vaccinces for THEIR high risk employees BEFORE the hospitals, doctors and more critically high risks people!!!! Goldman Sach, Citicorp, JP Morgan and even Federal Reserve Bank got shipments of the vaccine. JP Morgan claimed that it didn't know about the unexpected shipment and had donated it's shipment to a children's hospital. I can't imagine why they were given such an outrageous preferential treatment in the distribution process!!!!

Wall Street getting the H1NI vaccine before hospitals, doctors and the high risk makes no sense to me whatsoever.  I wonder what is really going on.  We will hear more about this as the weeks go by.  Maybe Anderson Cooper will investigate.  This is definitely a mystery that someone will want to get to the bottom of.

In my humble opinion, Somehow I think that the  government is involved in this debacle.

It seems that if you have power or money, you will have more influence in getting the vaccine before everyone else.

I can't believe that the Calgary Flames team and some other teams got the vaccine ahead of those that qualify.  Two workers were fired, but it just shows that even this process can have loopholes.

So it's everywhere.

what do we care. the vaccine is the govt trying to poison us anyway right? so good, the wall street thieves are getting poisoned before the rest of us, right? or have we suddenly decided the H1N1 vaccine is actually what it says it is?

 Perhaps it is because they got all that bail out money and the government wants to make sure they pay it back!

I do not think it matters, except for the children.  The young ones seem to be the only ones that are being hurt by H1N1

So the government prefers Wall Street and Big Banks to children??? Who would have thought?

Time to put in those resumes for the kids to get jobs in Wall Street or the Big Banks.  At least this way, the kids will have a job and get the H1N1 vaccine as well.

 I am not at all surprised by this revelation.

it doesn't bother me. I don't depend on vaccines to keep me and my family from getting sick. :)

It sounds to me just like another reason the private sector is better at getting and managing stuff.  The government just has too much red tape to slice through.  Too much ineptness.  yeesh

 Not sure what the controversy is here,i t states the companies are getting the vaccine for high risk employees...The government has not been so efficient to get us the amount needed why not allow your employer to get it for you if they can.  Personally  I would not take the vaccine, hoipefully the new health care plan wont throw me in jail next year when I dont take it again!

I believe the elderly are not effected by the swine flu.  They have some immunity from previous years.  They are not in the high risk groups.  Highest risk is pregnant women, infants, children under 25 and then adults with underlying conditions.

I dont think that is right. I think that they should wait like the rest of us for the shot

Don't understand why. I could have just gotten the H1N1, but not the seasonal?  I really did not want the H1N1, and anyone who has gotten it, knows it HURTS.

I guess "hurting" is relative. at the local elementary school, some 8 year olds cried, others didnt flinch.

seasonal flu and H1N1 are different strains. H1N1 has been deadly in even completely healthy people, seasonal flu is not. this should explain the mandatory H1N1 vaccination but optional seasonal vaccination.
