    I doubled up my portfolio in a week, how is this possible?

    I have never invested in stocks before so I began with play money.  I doubled up right away and can't figure out how I did it.  I am thinking that there is a mistake.  Can someone please help me out?

    Now there is one problem I would not mind having , LOL . You would have to tell us what stocks you had , and how many shares you had of each stock . That might help .

    You $100000 and you also get to borrow $100000 against the stocks you buy. so maybe that is why you think your buying power is double?
