The lucrative deal between Limbaugh and Clear Channel-owned Premiere Radio Networks is the second-largest ever for a radio personality, ranking behind Howard Stern's five-year agreement with Sirius Satellite Radio in 2004 that netted Stern more than $500 million.
For 20 years, Limbaugh, 57, has been the most popular personality on talk radio, and he is a formidable force in political circles. His program (heard weekday afternoons in Washington on WMAL 630 AM) commands a weekly audience of nearly 20 million listeners on 600 stations, according to Premiere, which markets his program to stations and advertisers.
Terms of Limbaugh's renewal weren't disclosed by Premiere in announcing Limbaugh's renewal. But the conservative pundit, in an upcoming article in the New York Times, said he would earn about $38 million annually under the deal, in addition to a "nine-figure" signing bonus.

I am just curious what your thoughts are on this, since he is a big talk show host on the Conservative/Republican side of the political spectrum (and has been very popular to the Conservative/Republicans) for many, many years, especially now in a very important election year, when the race for the White House is fierce between the Democratic and Republican candidates, Barack Obama and John McCain respectively.
And please, no name-calling or insults allowed on this thread, no matter what your political views are. Thanks.
