I've thought about this and think that it's unlikely he will be shot. I think that it's more plausible that a bomb will explode near his motorcade. It's bold but it would be the sign of our times, especiall if it is a suicide.

I don't condone the killing of anyone. I am pro life so that also constitutes adults.

 Well Sarah...foreign policies were engraved in stone long before either of us were born and there is no turning back no matter what Obama or McCane would propose or do and will just get worse.

I will take that statement one step further and say that it was the US, Britain and France that started the mid east conflict in the first place and what happened 9/11 is nothing more than the advanced reprocussions of American involvement.

You know, I get tired of this liberal bbuullllssshhhhitttttt. Who discovered oil in the mid east? Ever hear of the Seven Sisters? The majority of the oil companies that discovered oil, and made the middle east leaders rich I might add, were US companies.

 Why shouldn't the US influence the region? Why should the US have allowed the Mid East to place an Oil Embargo on us in 1973? We built the ddaaammmnnn oil wells, we dddaaammmnnnn well do have interests over there.

 Why should we have allowed the Soviet Union to take control of  Afghanistan and eventually the whole region? If we needed to empower Sadaam to do it then so be it. Once Sadaam claimed too much power then we take care of him. This is only a problem to the liberal mind.

Liberals have a problem with the US influence in the middle east, yet they have absolutely no problem with Marxists Socialists taking over the US educational system back in the 60's and 70's. Liberals are full of double standards. As I've said before, liberals want to force their views on us, yet when we are vocal about our views we are labeled intolerant, bigots, radicals, etc. Double standard!!!!!!! Liberals are the intolerant ones, they are the bigots, they are the radicals, yet the silent majority won't stand up to them.

Liberal policies have deliberately driven gas prices up, hoping that it will lead to conservation, yet it has led to an outcry by the majority for more drilling, yet the liberals in Congress refuse to allow such drilling. I have no problem with the held influences within the middle east, I would even think that asserting a domineering role in the middle east directly would institute peace rather than negotiate it.  But that is just the military officer hat I held in a past life.

Any military officer where ever they may be will say the exact same thing...politics is the enemy to any military action.

What would end the mid east conflict through negotiations would be to back track and acknowledge what we have done wrong.  The last thing anyone would want is another nuclear power in the mid east,  any scenerio to that end would in no doubt cause WWIII.  So no doubt, whether dominate the mid east or negotiate the mid east, there is NO in between...sanctions don't work, look at Cuba.

As for your opinion on Homosexuals and killing them, that is a viewpoint from ignorance. Christianity does not advocate killing homosexuals. The old testament did, but that was national law, Israels law given to them by God. Christianity is much diffrent and I believe that you know that, you just like any other liberal like to twist twist twist to try to emotionally make your point. Thinking people don't buy that kind of reasoning, it won't work here Seti, we (Christians, at least most) have no desire to kill homosexuals, we just don't want the minority to rule society.

I'm sure Seti implied no disrespect towards you kljcmc or anyone on the board, but I can see how offense can taken. I grew up in a bible thumping, ultra conservative (actually leaning on extremism) family that did overtly express such opinions that were largely shared in the community I grew up in...I haven't spoken to my family in quite sometime, my kids don't need to be exposed to that. I don't think that anyone on this board would carry such expressed hatred (I would most certainly hope not anyway), but it was because of my roots, I walk on the fence. I know that I can not have things both ways, conservatism and liberalism largely don't allow it and neither side want down the middle without a fight. My personal beliefs are based on the Bhudist philosiphies (I do not believe that Bhuda is a god) but I also believe in the good expressed in all religion and despite some fanatic or several thousand giving the rest of a religion a bad name, there are good people out there who want to do what is right. I attend church (Anglican) to be around like minds, but I also carry an open mind for everyone who carries a belief and I have to respect that, though I don't have to agree with it..I have a choice. I believe in civil debate and I will forever listen to both sides before I come to an opinion. Like I always say, I'm neither a conservative, nor a liberal...I would love to see a balance between the two and I feel that I will never see this within my own lifetime. Cheers!
