    Permanent Portfolio question please

When I go to my permanent portfolio, there is nothing there.  I signed up back in march 2008 and I understand there has been a dashboard change.  I dont know how to find the stocks i have purchased.  Can any one help?  Thank you.

The purchases you made were probably for the last 50k contest.  Those transactions disappeared the end of May when the last contest ended.  Your permanent portfolio is a totally separate thing.  Go ahead and make purchases in it and they will still be there when this contest ends and your contest transactions go away.  Just think....you get to buy now when everything is low!!n  :)

I just looked at your profile.  You haven't done anything with the new contest or your permanent portfolio.  You can really go to town.  I believe over 90 % of the people in the contest are below 100 grand.  You are in a great starting position.

What "Bryden's Mom" writes is a good point.

The expression "Cash is King," makes a lot of scence, doesnt it?  If cash, PLUS INTEREST, out performs 90% of investors, it might well be considered a reasonable position.

At the same time it says a lot about our ability to predict the future.

I believe it's because when you first sign up on WSS there are choices of 3 different funds you could choose from from safe, moderate and risky with pictures of the funds within each on that home page. I too did not choose one at that time of signing up and never saw the option anywhere again to buy them. I started a new account and this time I chose one of the funds at sign in. Try emailing them to see if there is an option somewhere to but those for the permanent portfolio.

    Re: Permanent Portfolio question please

The stocks you purchase in your permanent portfolio will stay there even when a contest ends. If you are below 100 K TODAY. Then you can reset the portfolio back to 100 K before June 30th for nothing. After that, they will charge you $9.99. The promo code is RESET. Don't forget to click on the permanent portfolio tab when trading stocks for your permanent portfolio. Other wise they could end up in your contest portfolio. Good Luck!
