Digital TV - Is it time to buy these stocks?

With the US broadcast system changing over to a digital signal next year, is it time to look at related stocks? I don't know about you, but I am already thinking of buying a new TV. That brought to mind how many others also plan to do the same in the next few months. I am already looking into flatpanel producers such as LG, Sony, Samsung, just to name a few. How about you? Have you thought about it?

That's a great point karand. Glass, chips, electronic components - I think we're in for some new heights in tech manufacturing stocks. Have you seen what some of these other companies have brought in? Listed right here on Wall Street Survivor. Two tech manufacturing stocks are listed as making nearly 300% in increase. When I see movies like IRON MAN; which by the way was great, and all the hipe about ipods and the like, it only leads me to think that we're headed for some increase when it comes to new technology.

    that's an interesting thought

but, so many people have purchased plasmas, LCDs, etc in the past couple of years

now, with the housing market plummeting, consumers are stretched for dollars

couple that with the fact that most households (I don't have stats) either have cable or satellite (in which case, a new digital TV is not needed),

and what you have is most people NOT buying digital TVs
