LOL , Wake rider , Corky dose the same thing . Corky has what we call the one second rule . If you look away from your food for one second ......... he figures it is his ! That is why he is 110 pounds !

Tasha has a similar rule, its called, "you walk away from it and its mine" thats anything from a bag of chips to chicken breasts right out of the oven. the last thing was a "whole" big bag of doritos. it was the large bag, i had about 10 chips from it and she had about 5...guess she was keeping track! i clipped the bag shut and put it on the computer desk upstairs. i left, she was on her recliner downstairs. i ran to the post office (about 15 minutes roundtrip). i came home, the chip bag was downstairs complete torn in half and not a spec of a chip around. she had it planned the minute i walked out the door, lol.

Sunshine , When you lose power in the winter , you can just put your food out side in the snow and it will stay frozen . I have had to do that a few times . But you have to keep an eye on the dog , LOL .

Corky, that is very true but both times we lost our lights it was in the summer when it was hot outside.

I live in Hagerstown, Maryland. It's in western Maryland We don't get many blizzards here. I think we average a big snow storm about every 6 years. We're overdue for one. I thought we were going to get one last year but we lucked out. The farmers almanac, i believe, is calling for a bad winter around this area this winter. I should probably be prepared for it like you are. We don't nearly get the snow fall you do there.

We've been known to get some really bad snow storms and blizzards. I've heard that we are supposed to have a really bad winter but I'm not sure what they are basing that on. It's always best to be prepared just in case the weather gets bad. We've got a John Deere tractor that we put a plow on to get us out of the driveway. It sure comes in handy during the really heavy snowfalls.

corky~ at our family christmas parties my aunt always stores the desserts that everyone brings outside because there is never enough room indoors...and it is always cold enough to keep them fresh...

Could you post her address and the time of the gift opening. (When the deserts will be unattended)
