So, I take your a big supporter of Fossil Fuels. In about 30 years, at the present rate the latest climate change models show that we would have reached a tipping point where whatever we do or implement at that time will be too late to stop the runaway heating of the earth's surface.
And, here's the bad news. the latest data shows that the models mentioned above are exceeding their worst case scenario.
What good is it if we discover more oil tommorow than exists on the entire planet today, if in another generation or so there won't be that many of us around.
I know this sounds alarmist, but that's because for the first time in my 54 years on this earth, I am.!.
I was around when the United States and the former Soviet Union were in a stranglehold called MAD,(Mutual Assured Destruction). Don't ever recall even being concerned about it. Just knew that we' couldn't possibly be stupid enough to blow each other up, (and the rest of the world with us).
But this ,this is different and the evidence is growing exponentially on an annual basis.
So, am I just an alarmist, or do people who think that in 30 years everthing will still be here, need to get with the program of how do we extract ourselves from this dependency that will end our existance as we know it.
Let the real Manhatten Project begin...this is alarmist oh well!
p.s. anyone seen any asteroids heading toward us lately.
