I got the 14 free issues of IBD and maybe had time to sit and read 1 of them, I do subscribe to IBD online you get just as good info there than you do in the paper I think, and it's only $19.95 a month, hella cheaper than the daily paper

I currently have a one yr subscription. The only thing I use is the Internet site that comes with it.I have been using a trend following system. So,all the news and info is nothing more than entertainment, completely useless for my system.

If he is talking about what I think he is, a trend is where a stock will react a certain way over a period of time, using charts you watch how they react to certain times of the year, say a stock goes up to $20.00 then drops back down to $10.00 over a 3 month period then goes back up again to the $20.00 thats a trend

But I have been known to be wrong lol

dew if you can afford it, go eIBD (Internet) it's $19.95 a month and you get more info in my opinion, the paper is just a newspaper...at least online you get all the tools

I wish i had the choice....i haven;t been able to work since my brain injury ...sure do miss it...i always equated being able to get a paycheck with my own self worth...i know it's silly but ...that's how i felt...so when i lost that i lost a big part of myself value...

karand have you ever thought about getting into doing medical transcripts from home? My daughters' mother does that and she makes a pretty good check for being home for the girls everyday.

    Something to look at =)

I subscribe to IBD and find it very useful. The price is somewhat high. I also subscibe to WSJ and ever since ownership changed hands, the paper has become more like a main stream newspaper--less business news and more fluff

    Re: Investor's Business Daily

I subscribe to IBD and either read parts of the paper each day, or check what I am looking for on their website. The paper is the tool for William O'Neils CAN SLIM method. It's not like any other paper and the content it it, isn't available anywhere else, except from their website. I first got the two weeks free and found all the tables meaningless. When their sales person called, he asked me to go to their web site, register and account and go through all the tutorials. They were great. I also have read William O'Niels book How To Make Money In Stocks, which is all about his CAN SLIM method. I have read many other books and there is a lot of methodology out there that I don't agree with. I really like their approach. The time I have been reading IBD, they have been right on with market condition entry points (if you read the narrative and not just the current outlook report).
