Aside from the bad parts of the days, sounds like you had a great experience with it.  Probably a new found gratitude for her teaching that class.  Not everyone would be able to deal with those situations.  Sounds like your daughter is a great lady for her achievements.  If she even makes one positive influence on one child that means a lot!!!!!!

even the parts of the days that were crazy they were experiences...and hopefully we all grow from those experiences...and you are right wakerider...i did find a so much to be joyful about watching my daughter teach her class....it was hard to believe that she was a first year teacher with all she has been able to accomplish with these students...

HI , Everyone , Today went better then I thought it would and I really liked the time with my brother in law . I do feel so bad for him though . The phone rang about 5 times with someone asking for my sister , and he had to tell them what happened . He is doing ok though and I got a lot of my questions answered . My sister was so lucky to have him in her life . AL , did you have a female judge or a male judge, maybe the judge needed one more cup of coffee that morning and did not get it . I am sorry things went so bad for you . Karand , when I get time I have a long story to tell you , Remind me later . I have to get to bed right now .

I am so glad today was better than expected...that helps...I'm here if you need me...

    ~hugs

Re: hey it's the late night crew

Good afternoon and I hope everything is going good for everyone.  It's a cold, rainy day here in Cleveland.  Yesterday we had 4 1/2 tons of clean coal delivered so we are ready for the snow.  It's supposed to be somewhere around 38 degrees on Thanksgiving so I think that's the day we are going to start the coal burner up for the winter season.  I picked out a generator that I think is big enough to run our freezer and the coffee maker if the lights go out so I want to save up enough to buy it.  Two times in the past few years our lights went out for 2-3 days and candles work for seeing but it doesn't help when it comes to keeping our frozen foods.  I'm still going to get some more candles and I do have hurricane lamps so I'm getting prepared for any blizzards that may come our way. Oh, and I think I better buy some more batteries just in case we need them.  The pantry is full and we do have extra water but I can probably use more so I'm going to make sure I get extra water this week-end.  I have lots of herbs on hand so I think we are prepared for winter when it comes.

Goldiec, sounds like your prepared for just about everything.  I've been thinking about investing in a small generator so i'd have it to run my freezer in case the power went out.  Normally our power is only out for a few hours at most but it has been out for a day once.  Who knows, with the way the local govt's are running out of funds they may take a little longer to respond to those calls.

Wakerider, which part of the country do you live in?  I'm in the Northeast.  Do you get blizzards where you are located?  You just may be right about local govt's running out of funds.  I wonder about that myself.

Has anyone since the reality show "So You Think You Can Dance?" Well, I saw the Top 10 dancers for season 5(2009) in one of its nationwide tour last night at HP Pavillon last night. My girlfriend invited me to see it as City of San Jose Housing Dept. got a donation of a block of tickets for suite seating for its staff & she wanted to recognize me for all the volunteer work I do for the ForeclosureHlep Center. I took some pics and I will have to get Dr. Z to help me in posting them when I get the chance. I still have to do the same for the Halloween wedding but been too busy & having computer access issues again.

Sunshine , When you lose power in the winter , you can just put your food out side in the snow and it will stay frozen . I have had to do that a few times . But you have to keep an eye on the dog , LOL .

I live in Hagerstown, Maryland.  It's in western Maryland  We don't get many blizzards here.  I think we average a big snow storm about every 6 years.  We're overdue for one.  I thought we were going to get one last year but we lucked out.  The farmers almanac, i believe, is calling for a bad winter around this area this winter.  I should probably be prepared for it like you are.  We don't nearly get the snow fall you do there.

I have to agree with you as far as watching the dog.  Tasha can sniff out chicken or beef a mile away.  Don't even think  you can bring in a McDonald's bag and think your going to eat it all by yourself.  She can sniff that out like a drug dog.  LOL
