    GOLDIEC:

Good Evening, I hope everyone is doing good tonight.  It's actually chilly here in Cleveland this evening.  For the 4th of July week-end it feels like fall.  Go figure I have no idea what is going on.  I don't like it when it's too warm but I think it's in the 60's and that just seems odd to me for the holiday. A little warmer would be nice.  We will need the covers tonight.   I can remember one 4th many years ago there was a terrible storm that came up just as they were going to start the fireworks and people were running in every direction.  I lived across the street from the school where they set off the fireworks so I always watched from the porch but when the storm came I went upstairs to my room and I can remember looking out the window at all the people soaking wet and running for cover.  I was so glad to be in the house.  Now instead of a storm we've got fall weather.  What's everybody else's weather like for the week-end?

you are so lucky to be able to watch the fireworks from your porch...that sounds just perfect...

this year we are going to my cousins house in north jersey...she is having a surprise 80th birthday for her mom (one of my favorite aunt's)....the said "no presents" but when we were at Mary Poppins in NYC we bought her a hat that says "Practically Perfect" ...

The weather here has been really beautiful....i hope i didn't jinx it by saying that....my niece and i have been swimming everyday....i sure hope it holds up for the weekend ...i haven't heard anything different....

It isn't quite as hot as it has been here in Texas Goldie.

Karand I hadn't thought about that but it would make me feel guilty about leaving also if I had a dog like Corky that would block the door, just the way they can look at you really can get to you let alone blocking the door.

Forums were down again last night.  Scheduled maintenance it said.   I wonder if WSS could set it up to auto send notes to our walls when they are going to be down for scheduled maintenance.

Re: hey it's the late night crew

We likely know each other better than a lot of people know their next door neighbors because we have been conversing for over a year about everything under the sun.  We can be free to be ourselves and just tell it like it is here as the anonimity of a  virtual converstion allows a person to be more open than often face to face conversations will.  I have gained enough trust and respect for some of my friends here that when they purchased flower arrangements from me I mailed the arrangements before I was paid and just had them mail me a check.   There are people that I have lived next door to and people I have known  for years now that I speak with in person that I could not trust to do that.

So the answer is yes some of us know each other very well, are very good friends and will remain friends for life I fully expect.  Sometimes you can get a truer picture of a who a person really is thru a virtual conversation than you can face to face and it usually doesn't take that long to distinguish the difference from those that are real people and those that like to make believe due to the anonimity.

OMG, that is so funny that Corky falls for that over and over again.

We used to have two horses, the mare was a Bay colored quarter horse we called Satin and she was the one that liked to be scratched so much and she was my husband's horse and her filly was my horse.  Both of them had some pretty quirky ways and her filly- my horse was bay colored also but she really wasn't pretty like the mare because she kind of looked like she had some mule in her and she acted like it also sometimes.

barb~ i don't know how i missed that horse story the first time...that is soooo hilarious.....one of my sisters has two horses in colorado....and they are as different as night and day....one is so sweet and the other is so stubborn...if you go to pet the one the other will push your hand away until you pet her instead....

well at least it was a "scheduled" maintenance and not just randomly off site for no reason....maybe they are getting some of the bugs fixed ....

Happy 4th to all of you too ! Just remember to drink plenty of water please ! I did not do that and I got so sick , Talk about pain and suffering ! I had to take my son to some skate board store's Zombies and zummies of all places and the AC in my van is out . I remember thinking how hot it was and it was a good thing I was not sweating . Wrong ! My legg's hurt so bad when I got out of the van . And then I got so sick I thought I was going to kick the bucket . I started drinking as much water as I could and I feel better now .

I agree with Barb and Karand , We are all very good friends and like family , even though we have never met each other . All of you have got me though some rough times and were there for me when I needed you . We have lots of fun too and a little crazy at times . I don't know what I would do without my friends here .

Spartan, I'd have to answer yes to your question (Do we really know each other)  I would say I know my online buddies better than most people that I see everyday.  We are quite a group.  We'd drop everything to help one of our buddies.  I wish you could see how strong our prayers are when someone needs our help.  And let me tell you about the rain dances.  They work like a dream but I will let someone else explain them to you.  I hope you have a wonderful 4th!

Corky, remember the rain dance guy Dr. Z posted for us!  I loved that!  And of course the mouse pads!  That was the best!
