    Chinese market

This is one area that looks really promising, if you have some knowledge of the companies over there. Are we allowed to buy stocks from the any of the Asian stock markets?

Not directly no, but you can trade chinese etfs and there are some chinese companies that trade on U.S. markets. For example, FXI is a chinese etf and CNEH is a chinese oil company that is growing fast.

I have not had any luck whatsoever with the Chinese stocks.  Some people here have really made a killing with it, but my timing always seems to be off with it.

Yes, K Lau. If you are not sure if you can purchase the stock, try to trade it. WSS will tell you if the stock is not allowed.

We are in for a low market open in the US! However, be prepared to ride your stocks up during the day and sell before the market close!

Tokyo on Wednesday, the Nikkei 225 index was down 4.13 percent at 13,178.2 points at the midday break, while Hong Kong's Hang Seng index tumbled as much as 6.1 percent to 23,283.61 in morning trading.

Australia's key index fell nearly 3 percent, while Thailand's market was down 2.4 percent.

Markets in China, South Korea and Taiwan were closed for the Lunar New Year. Trading in Hong Kong and Singapore were due to close after the morning session and remain shut for the rest of the week for the holiday.
