    Pats-Colts

This should be one great game. The only reason I give a slight edge to New England is because the Colts secondary is so beat up. You never know however, when these two teams meet. It should be fun.

Two rookie CBs matched up with Moss.... Sanders is out... and the Pats have Welker.... mhm... this is a tough pick.

The Colts have the edge at home, and if not for that missed FG against Houston that would have sent the game to overtime and then who knows.  The Colt may not be 8-0.  But with the Pats 6-2, there were two teams that knew how to beat them.  So the Colts need to see what these two teams did to shut down Brady and do the same today.

The Colts need to just pressure, pressure, pressure Brady.  Sack him, rush his throws, and force mistakes.  That is how to beat Brady.  Covering Moss and Welker will be tough, but if these guys are not thrown the ball, it wouldn't matter who is covering these guys as the Pats will not score.

Great game which I'm hoping doesn't have the same hype and letdown of the Vikings-Packers matchup 1 and 2.

The Pat's need it more than Indy.

Both teams don't really need this game.  Both are in control of their divisions by a wide margin.

that was a tremendous game tonight, and will make for great water-cooler conversation tomorrow at work, especially the Pats decision to go for it on 4th and 2.

I know this is hindsight, but I would've punted the ball, and made Manning go 70+ yards for a TD, rather than 30 yards if the 4th down play didn't work.

but, a great game nevertheless, and both teams should make the playoffs.

    Lots and lots of points.

Manning is out of his mind.

If Faulk had caught the ball cleanly, it would have been a 1st down easily.

It was a great game and one that the Colts should have lost, but I'm happy they won.  That call to go for it on 4th and 1 was just not necessary.  And what's up with using those timeouts?  In a game where your team was winning and it's 4th and 1, just punt it and let Manning try and lead the team to victory.  The Pats defense should be able to prevent Manning from marching the Colts at least 80 yards had they punted the ball.

I think going for it was a smart decison, it just didn't work out.

However, the management of the timeouts was a little questionable.  Especially the use of the alst one they had cost the Pats the privilege of challenging that call at the end.

I think it was a horrible decision, giving Manning 29 yards instead of 60+. Too risky, and this time it BIT BILL IN THE ASS.

it's been one week, and I think the controversy will continue into the playoffs.

but, it won't matter if the Patriots get to the Super Bowl

Hopefully they can wail on my least favorite team, the Jets, to make up for last week and an earlier loss to them. I noticed BIG MOUTH REX RYAN, hasn't been saying too much recently, since the Jets have come up short of the runway in recent games.

Too early to even mention that.

Irishgeek, in situations like that one, you had to trust your best playmaker Brady to win the game for you.  Not your unreliable defense.  Brady getting 2 yards is at like an 65+% success rate.

Sorry in my opinion, it was a bad call.

We can now officially bury the Jets for 2009. That is unless they win six in a row. They still might not get in with a 10-6 record. They won't win six in a row however.

What the Jets need to do is yank Sanchez from center.  Let Clemens have a shot.  Sanchez has been killing the team with his careless turnovers.  The coaches don't seem to understand this.
