found this stock, ESLR. i put money into it, but then the gas prices plummeted, and so did the stock. don't buy into it, its only gone down. in the past 4 days, its dropped about 2.5% each day. pretty sad if you ask me.

the tanking of FSLR on their missed earnings should take down the entire energy secory, including ESLR....

but, it's a buying opportunity -- so, I will be checking charts for a doji candlestick and stabilization before I buy.

I think FSLR is the class of the renewable stocks

Let us know when you see a good chart pattern. I bought call options in FSLR yesterday. It dropped too much on the missed revenue. The reason was that a contract wasnt signed until after the quarter. Which will be reflected in the next earnings report.

Montana ! I was so impressed with FSLR I bought it with wss and made a bunch of $$ . Then I got real smart and bought it in my real acct.

Am praying that it gets back to $245 so I can break even.

I am afraid you are a bit late to the party. Solar stocks are mostly on the decline overall, due to the number of competitors out there, which has driven down the prices of their products, which in turn reduces their profits.

And here is something to keep in mind ... solar stocks tend to follow the price of oil ... when oil goes up, solar goes up ... when oil goes down, solar goes down. The reason being, when oil becomes too expensive, people tend to look for cheaper alternatives, with solar being one of them, but when oil becomes cheaper, people relax and fall back to the same routines they have become accustomed to.

So the stock price may be passing until Obama passes some new green reform that ups the price agian.

Oil will go back up when there is any belief that the economy is really going to rebound. Solar stocks have tanked recently. FLSR original reason of going down was because a big contract was signed after the qtr ended and wasnt reflected in their recent earnings report. I would have thought investors would have looked at that for the next report about the current qtr. Its tanking. Solar does follow oil prices, which proves no one ever thinks we will ever be independent of oil. Same thinking since the 70s.
