    MARXISM

     obama is a Marxist

Marxism is the political philosophy  and practice derived from the works of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, though the name "Marxism" has been used by many with political perspectives those men would likely reject. Marxism is a political-economic theory that presents a materialist conception of history, a non-capitalist vision of capitalism and other types of society, and a non-religious view of human liberation. Closely related to the ideology of communism. At its core, Marxism holds a critical analysis of capitalism and a theory of social change

non capitalist   - his effort to take over the banks, auto industry, insurance industry , health care . etc,

non religious  -  after 6 months in office the obamas have not found a home church in D.C. , he also refused to participate in   the     national day of prayer ( even though he claims to be a " christian " ).

    karl marx would be proud

Ahhhh dats Good. Let me try.
    Petergun is an extremist

An extremist is :a person who goes to extremes, esp. in political matters.
Terrorists are called extremists because they believe that Britain or America is the "Devil"

Extreme: No grey area. Obama is a Marxist. he isn't juss less capitalist, or more socialist, straight up communist.
Political matters: Obama is a political figure

    The terrorists would be proud

heh i'm kidding, but thats a little too extreme. Obama is definitely leftist democrat though.

Very well stated!  I find it intresting that that he is bailing out the companies because they were "too big to fail".  - To big to fail!?  As decided by whom?  Just the thought of a president of a free market society saying that is disturbing.  Don't think for a second that this will be forgotten by those who seem to have power to remove CEOs from private companies or will it be forgotten with this administration. Remember, freedom equals risk and prosperity is the result of risk.  It is far easier to regain financial prosperity than political freedom.  So sacrificing freedom for prosperity is never a good idea.

i'd like you to look a hard working american, factory worker, like I work with every day, in the eye and tell them (in the "too big to fail companies over 10,000 people) that they are losing their job, not because they are bad workers or have done anything wrong, but because the management is greedy and drove the company into the ground. then tell them, tough luck, mr. chen will enjoy producing cheaper crappier products at pennies a day in your place overseas. we are saving these companies to keep jobs in america and keep good workers working. to me, that is priceless.

While I don't want to appear heartless, sometimes bad things happen to good people.  Yes times would be and are hard.  I live in Kentucky and was right in the middle of the tobacco industry meltdown.  Although it severly affected our farmers and just about every industry we have, we survived.  Our farmers have either moved on to other industries or pooled together to make it.

My point is America will survive without GM.  We will not survive an administration with little to no respect for our free market.  If you disagree please study Stalin and how he managed his states economy.  Freedom is expensive, it comes with a price.

There are several people on this site that I feel want to experience socialism. I just don't want to experience it with them.

Of course as in most things I disagree with James....The biggest wack jobs on this forum would have to be either JamesLT or Petergun...

They think I am a Wack Job because I understand what Obama is doing and why and completely support what he is doing....

They think they are somehow more American than the rest of us...That what they believe is American and what the rest of us believe is un-American...yeah right...

But we will leave that up to you new posters...And let us here your views...I would be nice to have some more diversity!...Surely there are some Muslim Americans out there to share in this forum?

haha. funny. Yes, I am also a libertarian, and I do believe in free enterprise. Reagen's quote about government being the problem was on of my favorite quotes. But my views are currently changing as time magazine has made a series of articles supporting keynesian economics. I admire your cordiality as well as your patriotism. I was joking about you being an extremist, despite the fact that what you said was extreme. Obama is not a marxist, but a celebrity endorsed popular left wing politician with support of 59% of the population. Although he has the majority of America's support, most Americans doubt his solutions because it is different from what is norm in America. Many economists declare that we are in a new economic environment, so might as well have innovative leadership.

I try not to lump people into political camps, but thanks for drawing the lines for me.  Personally, I think I can see what Obama is doing to and and he seems to be very diplomatic about everything.  But I do find it very disturbing how he feels that it will take the government to solve our problems as a nation.  and for the record I find it equally disturbing from any party.  I've had my share of rants against to Republicans too.

Yes I agree the massive spending and government expansion is not something I would have wanted...Although I do not see an alternative that would get us through this particular Mess...And the tide will change after the recovery...sentiment will shift back towards conservatism....And Hopefully we will be able to re-establish our Constitutional Republic...
