    San Antonio

San Antonio traded Bruce Bowen. Any thoughts? Jefferson is good, but Bowen was still useful...

As a Rockets fan It would be much better for us to have Bowen. We traded Jefferson out of the Western Conference and now" He's Back.''

Bowen, once upon a time, did an excellent job in hounding and harassing Kobe.

But, I guess he got a little bit old and slow.

San Antonio will only go as far as Duncan, Parker and Ginobili take them.

And, even all 3 are healthy, they still can't beat the Lakers

Duncan would have to match up with Bynum, Gasol, and at worst MBenga

Parker would have to deal with Shannon Brown (hopefully, we re-sign him), Farmar, and Fisher (albeit, much slower)

Ginobili will have to deal with Ariza and Odom

for the Spurs, who deals with Kobe?

Hence, Lakers over Spurs if they meet in the playoffs

What you posted was just plain silly.  No one can really guard Kobe, period.  I mean, who was that dude tht plays for the Magics?  All he did was playing terrific defense, and he fouled out (shocker) against Kobe while scoring 4 pts.  Every NBA team has to have a player to get fouled out playing against Kobe.

sure, perhaps no one player can guard Kobe/Lebron/Wade

but, a good defensive player (Paul Pierce) and a good defensive team (Celtics) can stop Kobe.

See NBA Finals 2008 if you have a short term memory loss

Lakers got blown out in the last game of the Finals by nearly 40 points.

Lakers had a 24 point lead at home at halftime, only to lose.

in that Finals, things happened that were appalling.

I remember that finals game... Ugh. It wasn't worth watching except to see the Lakers get embarassed :)

You're right to some extent, but Kobe did not play horribly.  His team or his supporting members were non-existent in the 2008 finals.  The same happened to Lebron in the Conference championship games.
