If that was the worst law the felons were breaking Robert I would laugh about it too....but since they are felons and breaking US law which obviously they dont give a crap about then I don't hear myself laughing!

I think it is safe to say that the Federal Government is the biggest polluter in the world.  I say retire them for good.  This bill will do nothing to "save" the Earth.  The Earth will go when it's good and ready.  Global warming because of man is a farce.

    Seti03:

We are 24 hours away from the most important climate vote of our lives. Everything hangs in the balance.

Either the House passes the American Clean Energy and Security Act and we carry forward with the goal of retiring fossil fuels. Or, we lose the vote and probably any chance of confronting the devastating threats of run-away global warming for the foreseeable future.

I don't have any issues with them bringing charges against Bush if they have the eveidence, but they won't because they know if they bring Bush to trial then they will be brought up on charges too...say maybe, treason against the American people and the Constitution?

Sorry James I didn't get that...Who would be brought for treason if we try to Jail George?  Treason?  How so?

Obama is worse than George, Obama is following into his footsteps, George set the stage for it all.

No James I just do not see the point you are making...

I believe George should be Jailed for Lieing to us to go to war in Iraq.  And/or that he should be charged for Crimes against Humanity for Allowing our troops to Torture People...and that he should be charged for allowing the CIA to Kidnap people to be tortured in other countries.. and that he should be charged with outing a CIA operative namely Valerie Plame....Removal of habeaus Corpus,  Spying on American Citizens etc...

Ok so now what is that they would charge Obama for if they tried to jail George?  Please explain...

George didn't lie to us the CIA did, and if George thought he was going to get into to much trouble over it why didnt they plant some WMD's? That is all a bunch of BS.

And I still stand behind him for doing what they did there, they got rid of a madman that didn't think twice about sending in missles to kill women and children by the 1000's but yet you all scream and yell about it when civilians get in the way of war.

I think everyone of those terrorist b-astards should have had fingers cut off to cough up the info, and if they didnt then next with the toes. You going to sit there and tell me if someone had kidnapped your wife and you found a person that knew where she was and that they might kill her you wouldnt skin that scum alive until he talked? same thing!!

I'll agree 100% that he was guilty of wire tapping without permission, but so is everyone else in Congress and the Senate for signing the patriot act who didn't read it, Period.

Obama is as guilty as Bernie Madoff, Obama just pushed thru the biggest ponzi scheme in american history, stealing trillions.

Re: Big day for the World Tomorrow

Well I pretty much disagree with all of that...Sure under the scenario you discribe I would do what ever it took...But I am not a country with a military...I am not America to me the ends do not justify the means...I am sorry to say it James but yes I would not allow Torture under ANY circumstances...PERIOD...Now if that meant that my family migjht get wiped because of that decision...So be it...My family is today...America on the other hand is hopefully forever...And things like that are remembered long after the person is gone..And of course that was never the scenario Osama never was suspected of having any Nuclear weapons of any sort...Of course there are still those two backpack nukes Russia misplaced and are believed to be in the US.

Iraq had nothing to do with 911 and posed no threat to the US...We should have just treated him as we did Castro and put him in box and waited...We lost over 4000 of our children over this and thousands and thousands of INNOCENT iraqi civilians have died due to our war...I am not saying we killed them all but they did die because we started this War so we are still to blame for thier deaths...Which one of them was Jesus...Which one was Einstein...which one was Tesla...did we kill the man or woman who would cure Aids...we will never know...

Now afghanistan is a totally different story...The terrrorist that attacked us were based there...Think of how all that money we wasted on that war would help right now..

To me the only thing that makes any sense is that George knew the financial mess was coming and so he got us into Iraq to protect our access to oil...Without oil America is dead....Aside from that it just makes no sense at all...

Re: Big day for the World Tomorrow

Is EVERYONE here a child? I can remember temps being cooler when I was a kid, can't you? Something like 8 of the ten hottest years ever recorded were during the last 12 years. Yet you guys think global warming was made up by Al Gore to turn us all into slaves? I guess your not old enough to remember the 70's when this issue was first brought up, only to be covered up by every administration we've had since Carter. This includes the Clinton years too, where Gore helped them cover it up. Has anybody here ever seen the movie "Everything"s Cool"? www.everythingscool.org

I do have to concede one point to you. "Save the Planet" is about the stupidest thing I've ever heard. The earth will still be here, we just won't be able to survive on it any more, so shouldn't they be saying "Save the Humans"? That's what it's all about. I guess none of you guys have kids yet, so your not worried about the future in store for them. Or maybe you do have kids, do you hate them enough that you don't care if they survive? Do you not understand that they are predicting that by the end of the century food production will fall dramaticlly due to climate changes? Drought is drying up our farmland, heat is burning out crops that have been grown in the same fields for generations. Farmers are depleating underground water supplies to water crops, with no concern about what happens when the water runs out. Western states have put such a strain on the Colorado river that the river is often sucked dry before it gets to Mexico. Why, so we can irrigate the desert, and grow half our vegies there. Water is going to be the first major issue brought to the forefront due to climate change. California and Arizona are already having problems getting enough water, these problems will only get worse as temps and populations rise.

Our society has no morals. No concern for the reprocussions caused by their actions. We waste fuel driving fast enought to speed everywhere we go, just to save a few minutes. Yet at the same time we complain about the price of gas. If we were to drive the speedlimit we could save 20-30% on our fuel costs, I do. We do all this while complaining about criminals and Politicians breaking the law, even though we ourselves are lawbreakers. You may say "I'm not a criminal for speeding, everybody does it". I guess your parents never told you the story about not being a lemming. Your probally thinking I don't hurt anyone by speeding. Excessive speed is listed as the major factor causing many fatal collisions. I don't believe in accidents, wrecks are caused by people breaking the rules of the road. Usually they made a decision to run that red light, or stop sign. They knew it was against the law, they just didn't care. I care, I am crippled for life because of one of these idiots. He was such an idiot he didn't even wear his seatbelt. That's why he's dead now. You may not think I know what I'm talking about, I would say life has taught me a lesson the hard way, and that's just what I'm trying to keep from happening to you.

Now that I've bothered you with such a long ranting post, I'll let you go so you can catch up with your friends as they run toward the edge of the cliff.

I got all off on that rant and I forgot to say that the CIA knew he had chemical weapons because they gave them to him. They're in a desert, how hard can it be to hide something? dig a hole, drop it in, cover it up, it never existed.

Oh yea, I'm not smart, I'm just trudging along trying not to do something stupid enough to get me killed. So do you want to go play pool at the biker bar or not? LOL

The worlds temp peaked around 2002, then stayed flat or dropped even as CO2 increased.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

"Globe may be cooling on Global Warming"

"The University of Alabama-Huntsville's analysis of data from satellites launched in 1979 showed a warming trend of 0.14 degrees Centigrade (0.25 Fahrenheit) per decade," Joseph D'Aleo, the Weather Channel's first Director of Meteorology, told me. "This warmth peaked in 1998, and the temperature trend the last decade has been flat, even as CO2 has increased 5.5 percent. Cooling began in 2002. Over the last six years, global temperatures from satellite and land-temperature gauges have cooled (-0.14 F and -0.22 F, respectively). Ocean buoys have echoed that slight cooling since the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration deployed them in 2003."
