I seem to remember back in Jan-Feb you signed a 1+ trillion dollar spendulous package and claimed it would create 3 million new jobs...not that that amount means much in todays population....But I see in the news and hear on the news that the unemployement rate keeps rising.

since when was job creation instantaneous? since when is 4 months a long time (in bureaucratic terms)?

 Well lets see....Hanford recieved 1.6 billion dollars of that money already and not a single job was created...it did save some, but did not create.

Lets not forget how much GM & Chrysler got. (still getting) And OMG, they are losing jobs.

solid, the stocks were great during clinton too, with the enron mess under the surface....and the dot com bubble, lets not go there and tarnish all the fuzzy memories of the great times eh?

james, i find the above bold statement particularly ironic. above you turn a blind eye to the facts, you cry about obama apologizing for our country's missteps, but isnt refusing to apologize for your wrongs turning a blind eye? just because you love this country doesnt mean you have to love everything it does. I love america, but I hate our involvement in the middle east, I hate our political system, I hate our religion obsessed culture. speaking out and disagreeing are what our country truly was founded on. we are a country of freedom and there is no better way to exercise that freedom than protesting or disagreeing. so next time you use your patriotism to turn a blind eye to all the bad things our country does/did, remember that only in communist nations are the people 100% behind their government (some by choice, some not), 100% in agreeance on policy, and 100% in love with their country.

(old and new)

iceman, the point was that in communist countries there arent organized protests. they may think the policies are a joke, but they dont get up and do anything. they are in agreeance out of fear and inaction.

I understand your point, what I was eluding to was the dissension is a thousand fold higher than the controlled media of North America or Western Europe will ever print, you have to realize the billions in aid that goes to the old bloc countries and money is power and control and the great fair puppet media would not want to fall from grace

I stand behind the constitution not the poiliticians. Where does Obama get off apologizing for our country? This country has helped or fought for almost every country on this planet, whats to apologize for?

He is a corrupt politician just like the rest of them, he's a liar and is only out for his own gains, he is the best smoke and mirrors politician there has ever been.

 No James I am sure you don't see anything for us to apologise for.  You seem to be believe that since we are the strongest we should be able to do whatever we want.  We have a lot to apologise for...an example would be this economic mess we spread around the world which practically destroyed the entire economic system.  It is still questionable whether or not the system will recover...probably but we are far from in the clear yet...so far the commercial paper has not hit the fan...the banks have been able to keep this paper on there books so far...I feel certain that you probably support our previous dealings in the middle east...you know Iran was a democracy until we killed it and put our puppet in place...I am sure you probably support our Illegal war in Iraq...It is your kind of Nationalism that has produced these terrorists in the first place...Obama is doing a wonderful job...He is finally trying to deal with other countries in an above board fashion...He is trying to deal with Honesty and Integrity...A welcome change...the way he is dealing with Iran and Korea is exactly what I would want him to be doing...And I have to admit I sure do like to listen to these Teabaggers cry...lol...They have no real arguements...they say he is a liar...BS...they cry about the Birth Certificate..BS...Claim his Stimulus did not have any effect...BS...

The thing I think most of them miss is just how bad this mess really was/is...And they act like the stimulus should have gotten to us already is just crazy...sure if we were China it should have been here but we are not China..our system does not work like that...the money gets approved in Washington then makes it way to the state where they then have to fight about who in the state gets the money and so on...so it takes time

Patience my friends...It will take some time for the Credit markets to return...The banks have to make enough money to cover all of that Commercial Paper before they can really start lending at normal levels...With our current setup this should only take a year or so...Of course one more stimulus package could speed up this up a bit and give us a little push to really get things started...

I am really glad to have a president who is really making an effort to try an tackle our problem head on...Taking on entitlements is something both sides have neglected for far too long...Now if he would just tackle the Drug War...Next Term...And yes I will be voting for Him Again...at least at this point...
