Well, today certainly wasn't very impressive.  The Eagles won the total week as well as three of the five days.  The Monkeys won two of the individual days.

Time to regroup and come up with better picks for next week.

With last week's daily picks being less than spectacular, I thought I should modify my selections to place more emphasis on trade volumes as well as the stocks' movements versus the markets.  For Monday 6/08 I've got three new picks:

ACTU

All three have fared very well against the markets recently and they have all shown higher volumes on up days compared to down days.

Scores look good to me... shall we proceed. If I see any stocks that I would like to replace with my initial picks, I will do so b4 the midnight cut off.

With some of the after hours activity and some analyst recommendations, it would be easy to just pick a few tech stocks.  But I think I'll stick with my same screening methods and have my 3 picks soon.  At least two will be different than the ones I used today.

With the very strong afternoon we had today I'm going to go against my normal practice and pick a couple very high momentum stocks.  I've been watching FUQI recently and the size of the price increase as well as the volume has been very impressive. 

FUQI - Fuqi International - precious metal jewelry in China (high momentum)

CRAY - Cray Inc - supercomputers (high momentum)

CTCM - CTC Media - Russian television (consistently crunching the US stock markets the last few months)

I would hesitate to buy these with real money (ok, maybe for a quick trade) due to their large recent increases.  But for a one day game and strong momentum into today's closing, I'll give them a try.

Yep, the high momentum stocks I used carried through pretty well today.  Too bad I'm not more agressive with my real life portfolio.  I'm still learning.

I'm still learning myself there buddy. One thing is for sure, this competition is helping me to pinpoint the area's where a stock's price can have that move higher.  I would have atleast gone with SAY today lol.... what a move. There were a lot of lowered expectations on this one, but I spotted this one back in the middle of May.

For 6/10, I'm gonna go with the following:
