How I heard about you:
my university runs a stock trak system for their business classes, I was looking through the stock trak website and saw WSS as one of stocktrak's free products, so decided to check it out.
To start with.
WSS seems more dynamic than Marketwatch's VSE.
You can game the system on VSE, by taking advantage of stock splits..
for example, you can short a stock into a split and you can buy back the next day with a HUGE GAIN.
thats a way people cheat, you can cheat with penny stocks, you can buy 10000 shares at .01 cent and sell them at .03 cents.
Its just a lame experience, I am sure some games have stricter rules..
Advantages of VSE:
You can set up your own game with friends and see who's better at the game. With your own rules of course.
You can buy and hold mutual funds, so you can get a steady gain.
You can trade OTC, although VSE's OTC system is buggy.
Random Point: your prices are done by ask-bid 15 minutes later, vse goes by 20 minute delayed prices. If you know what I am saying.
You should direct message me, I will give you my instant message ID's. I played VSE for 3 years now, I can answer any other specific questions you have.
