I have free versions of Norton anti virus and Spyware Doctor that I got free from Google.
ESET NOD32 Antivirus provides state-of-theart protection for your computer against malicious code. Based on the ThreatSense® scanning engine first introduced in the awardwinning NOD32 antivirus system, ESET NOD32 Antivirus continues to deliver unprecedented protection against zero-day threats, without the need for constant reactive signature updates to recognize the threats.
i use the free avg version
the free AVG has worked fine on our computers for over 2 years.
AVG!!
If you have a Dell computer, they recommend Avast, and it was pretty good, but I did get a virus with Avast.

AVG is not going to be free for much longer!!
I use Avira AntiVirus, which is free. Have been doing so for a few years, and have installed it on many peoples computers.
I also go with spyware blaster.
I haven't had any problems since I've been using both in conjunction.
I tried avg my brother stays in Ark. I stay in Mo. but he loves it. It made my computer run slow but it is worth a try I guess. Works for some and not others. Just go to free antivirus.com and make sure it not only takes care of viruses but trojans and such as well. My protection that came with my service is ok but I wish it were better. I was using Moxilla foxfire as my browser and loved it. I then downloaded foxfire 3 I got two trojans and had to go back to my internet explorer to run scan found them and it deleted them quickly thank God for those places. Especially when it come to our technology in home.
Most times two is better than one when it comes to protecting our computers. Good job. I watched a news flick the other day that told of a lady that had three to four working together so no one could get in and steal her id. I thought pretty cool, but just trying to keep from purchasing more storage has me not wanting to put anything more on my computer. I will eventually buy more sooner than later. I have had this computer for six to seven yrs now and it still runs great. But thus will come a time when it is needed straight ahead. Toni lol
You were able to use two anti-virus softwares at the same time? That would concern me... Most of the programs will prohibit you from having another. It's similar to having two firewalls.. .
I have AVG and Spybot for the last couple of years and have not had any problems. I use them both together, it works fine. Both are free.
the best freeware software tha I have found is AVG 8.0 anti-virus and the best anti-spyware around hands down;the one i have used for years is:http://www.
