The Brett Favre saga has taken some interesting turns since he supposedly announced his retirement from the NFL.

About 200 people rallied outside Lambeau Field on Sunday to pressure the Packers into reinstating Brett Favre as the team's starting quarterback.

Adam and Erick Rolfson organized the rally. They plan to hold another Monday night in the Milwaukee area and then every Sunday until the team reinstates Favre.

They have started a Web site, www.bringbackbrettfavre.com, where fans can vote on what the Packers should do.

General Manager Ted Thompson says Favre can rejoin the team from retirement but would have to be a backup. Favre wants an unconditional release from his contract, something Thompson says he won't allow.

hey rosebud07 ... I don't know what will happen. But The Pack will not, IMO, release him!

You know, I think he still has a pass or two left in him.

 I agree with you guys. I think Farve could go another year. I feel sorry for him, but he should not have retired at the end of last season. To make Farve a back up quarterback would be a slap in the face. He worked hard to help Green Bay, Yes, he made many mistakes - but he always owned up to them.

he is a great qb. after least year why would they not bring him back? the packers are crazy for saying he could only be a back up. maybe they wont release him cause they want to get trade value for him!

Do you think the website will determine his fate? I didn't believe Ecko would really brand or deny the hall of fame his ball, but he did brand it. 

I tell you what....if I were Aaron Rogers and they brought Favre back, I would demand a trade.  But, it now seems like Favre wants to play elsewhere.....if I were any other team I wouldn't pick him up....sure he may have some passes left.

But he's been playing Green Bay for years.....well, maybe i'll retire, no i'll come back.

Ok, now i'm officially retiring for good......wait, I want to come back.  You can't do that in a typical job, why should the NFL be any different.  Rogers is getting the shaft, and it's not fair to him one bit.

The NFL and other sports are different than regular jobs. Just look at the pay! As for retiring, Jordan did it several times. Everyone loved him coming back. Likely, most people will love Favre coming back. People have watched him for a longggg time, and he's one of the few stars that young people can admire. 

 I heard today that Farve would like to play for Minnisota or Chicago. I would like to see the Bears pick him up....lol

Now the Pack has filed tampering charges on the Vikings. Oh this is a sad thing for Favre and the Pack. He could have gone out on top. Now that is getting messed up.

If he plays for Minnisota he won't need to make a special trip for his jersey retirement.

ACCORDING TO TEAM GB,THEY WON'T LET HIM GO TO ANY NFC,I BELIEVE , BUT WHAT ABOUT THE LOWLY DOLPHINS,WHAT A BOOST THAT WOULD BE FOR THEM & BILL,THEY WOULD GET ALONG GREAT AND ALSO TURN THAT TEAM AROUND,BUT WHO KNOWS FOR SURE I GUESS

You are DREAMING if you think the Packers will let Farve go to a division rival. I see him playing out his career in the AFC. To me, that is sad. I can't envision any other jersey on him than Green Bay's. The Packers and Brett have already tarnished things by not handling this issue back after last season.......
