    That's what I thought but it's gone.

I said, Fov-ray, the correct pronunciation. How do they get Farve from Favre? He was never as good as Terry Bradsaw!

The Lions should go after Brett.  We need some excitement!  Our team sucks!!!!!!  Oh wait, Matt Millen is too stupid to go after a leader or performer.

    Re: Favre the man.....

I dunno. I remember when Reggie White was leaving the Eagles and the fans held pep rally's to keep him in Philly. Once he was gone, people moved on. That's not to say any one was ok with it. Of course it involved an owner, Norman Brayman who was too cheap to resign him. He basically let him shop his services to the whole NFL eventually settling in Green Bay. It was the right choice for him as he went on to win a world championship. I know Brett Farve is like a god in Green Bay, but I think they need to decide if it may be time to enter a new era or not. I beleive they have already made that decision and just wish Brett would go away. Of course that's not going to happen.

By the way. I'm pretty sure when this is all said and done and if he does move to another team, it sure isn't going to be any team in Green Bay's division. I have a feeling the Packers are secretly trying to get what they can in draft picks by trading him out of the conference. Can you imagine him coming into Lambeau field as a rival Viking, Bear or Lion?? That would be a huge mistake on the Packers part...

Here's what I wonder about. Why would a NFL team be willing to get rid of an MVP QB, certain hall of fame QB who does not have contract issues?

Seems to me that is THE player every team is looking for.

There's got to be something behind the scenes.  I'd keep him with a couple of backups, in case he changes his mind to retire again.....

    Re: Favre the man.....

I have to agree. What a mess they have made of this. Did you hear Ladamian Tomlinson of the Chargers comments?? Basically he said if Brett wants to change his mind the team should accept it. I agree that for what he has done for the franchise, he is owed a little more respect. If you look at it on the Packers side though, they need to know these things after the season, not before it, so they can prepare for the draft and move forward. It's just a mess. Kinda reminds me of the TO debacle in Philly. Something like this can tear a team apart. I would hope that things get straightened out soon for the good of the franchise and the NFL. I always liked Brett and I hope he is happy wherever he ends up!!

LOL Favre would NEVER stoop so low as to get us out of the basement...roar putty cats roar

BTW, I am not a fair weather fan, but have rooted for the home team (Lions) for the past 20 years now!  Maybe I should retire.

I think it's definitely time for the Packers to move on....and if they would have brought him back, imagine how ticked Rogers would be.....with every right to be so.

You bring back Favre, and you probably lose your future QB.

I wonder if Favre can remember J. Theismann (sp?) Terrible! I like Favre a lot, but it is time for him to go, or at least earn a spot.
