Rite Aid Corp. Thursday said June same-store sales fell 0.4% while total drugstore sales fell 2.5% to $2.02 billion.
Comparable pharmacy sales fell 0.5% while front-end same-store sales were down 0.2%.
The company said its comparable sales were hurt by its Brooks Eckerd stores.
Excluding Brooks Eckerd, same-store sales rose 2.6%. Brook Eckerd comparable sales fell 6.2% from the prior year.
Shares of Rite Aid closed Wednesday at $1.36. The stock is down 79% over the past 52 weeks.
