DR & Seti3, I try not to take anything personal, I hope you both do the same because though I disagree with you two on a lot of things, I do have respect for how you handle yourself on here. Occasionally Seti let's his liberal nastiness shine through in his joking ;-), but I'm trying to take it as the fact that it's hard to keep from making fun when that is how many liberals love to debate. I'm not saying some conservatives don't, but I've seen more anger, protests, and just plain uncivilized behavior among the liberal movement than the conservative movement.

Just finished watching a biography about Janis Joplin, ddaaammmnnnn that girl could NOT sing!!!!!!! You have to be doped up to like her. Now, much of Bob Dylan's music I like though I sure aint for the anti war hippie movement, I find that era a major embarrassment to the U.S., but again, that JMO (just my opinion)

Yeah I agree with your Seti. I think there are most definitely people that go without nowadays. I know my family had it's issues as a child, so I've got a little first hand experience, that may have been a different time and all particularly economically but I think the problem does still exist.

wow.. I must say.. I need to keep up on these boards a little more.. DR... i applaud your original rant.. YOu have voiced many concerns that I think a lot of people have.. orginally.. I do believe.. it was from the article about rumors being spread so much they take a life of their own on.. and become gospel to some.. That is a very sad thing..

I appreciate you are for gay marriage.. people should not be outlawed for wanting to share the same benefits that stright people are readily given at the stroke of a pen. I am so tired of the argument that the religious right and left have about the gay marriage thing.. marriage is NOT a religious rite.. It is a legal partnership entered into by 2 people who happen to love each other and want to make that committment in front of family and friends..  The argument that marriage is "Only for reproducing and making a family" Hogwash.. i know many straight people who dont have.. cant have or dont want childen.. should they not be allowed to marry? By that token.. China is bodering on disaster with their one child per family policy.

I also believe Rush Limbaugh is an idiot.. A very well spoken highly paid idiot. A doctor shopping ocycontin addicted idiot.. but ehh.. he is entitled to his opinion.. I do listen to him now and then to hear what he is spewing.. and then I realize WHY i dont listen to him..

 With the exception of a few people here.. yall debate very well and play nice.. I appreciate that..

For the record, my brother in laws ex is now a ***, she was in a relationship with a lady for quite a while, now they have a threesome. Hmmmm. I don't care what they do, but, now I do see the benefits of gay marriage, TWO people committing to one another. If one decides to cheat, the other can take them for all they're worth. If they all agree to three then fine. Once they decide to make three or four marrying legal then striaghts who believe in bigomy will benefit big time.

What's good for the goose IMO

BTW, for those who don't think these relationships hurt anyone as long as they are consenting adults. My bro in law and his ex have two girls, now they have four mothers. My sister who is married to their dad and their moms other two girlfriends. No, that doesn't confuse or hurt anyone. Oh brother!!!!!!

if you mean kljcmc, what is wrong with his post. It actually makes more sense than what you wrote. I do not see proven ignorance, and if arguments from the other side were so easy, why not post some actual information and/or facts, instead of ambiguous innuendos and name calling?

clearly, you lack humanity. if you cant see homosexuals as people, then i am sincerely sorry for you. klgsmdfcefgy's post is hateful and pathetic. it is a real shame that people like him are out there poisoning people's minds. the fact is that the whole concept behind anti-gay sentiment is purely christian belief and people saying its against the bible and whats natural. this country is not a christian country and as a country based on freedom of religion, we're trampling those rights every day by not offering these people the same basic human rights we all have. perhaps if you want to start a discussion on gay marriage/gay rights, we should start a new thread. unfortunately, i see that as being a hotly debated one
