So how many people here have got vista im having a lot of issues with it and i think microsoft should have stuck with xp or windows 2000

I have Vista unfortunately.  It came withthe computer when I bougtht in February.  I thought I was gonna like it but lately in the past onth or so my computer has been shut down a few times while Im online.  Twice the shut down has done something to myISP ad Ive had t reinstall it.  Not very happy with VIsta but dont have the dough to install XP.  Will have to liv with it.

Thanks for the info.  Was thinking of buying a new laptop and noticed they all had Vista on them and wasn't sure about that!  I may wait until they get the bugs worked out first.

ive worked a lot of the bugs out with my own program patches but i have no way to install them on others computers to help them out.

my laptop crashed the other day saying explorer.exe could not run something to do with one of the updates i installed deleted all my backup dates and had to do a complete system restore back to factory settings

Derricka, I've seen some web sites (Dell) that offer a both OS's in laptops. They have XP installed and also give you Vista to load when (and if) you are ready. But you'll have to go shopping again. :-)

Thanks Bob for the info.  I keep shopping for a laptop, but my husband won't let me get it.  Last month he wanted to get one, but this month he does not.  He just can't seem to spend the money for it.  If it was up to me, we would already have it!

Yes, that is my family.  My kids hate when I show that picture (especially my daughter) because they have both changed considerably in the two years since it was taken.

i have a second laptop im trying to get rid of toshiba satellie x205 you can look it up on line its the lowest one thy have 3 different ones but mine is used and the cd drive cover doesnt like to stay on but besides that the computer works fine it does have vista on it with my patches installed so it doesnt have any problems as of yet

Just another voice. For me, I have Vista since February and have no problem so far.

some people havent had any problems with vista im one of the ones that did glad vista is working well for you though
