it's not easy to make money

    this is only a game.

just think if you'd play with actual money!

     keep trying

no one wins all the time

even Tiger Woods / Michael Jordan/ Wayne Gretzky / Joe Montana lose every now and then

Hey It can be fun again!!!!!!

You can start over for free (without making up a new profile)!!! Thank you Rosebud and Barbara Jones!!!!!!!  All you have to do is go to store and click on the reset button.  Go ahead and add the reset to your cart even though it says it will cost $9.99.  On the next screen, put RESET in the discount/coupon code and click update.  You will still have to fill out billing and shipping information, but when you get that all in, it says your total is zero.  You DO NOT have to enter a credit card.  All free, all new, $100,000.  No more digging yourself out of the hole (even though the past few days have been much better to us).  I am told you can do this as many times as you want for free till June 30!

this game is great practice!  I've wasted money in the market before.  Fumbling around without knowing what the heck I am doing.  Never again! not without some more practice!

    Re: not fun anymore

I was up to $113,000 then back down to $95,000, now I'm back up to just over $100,000 in the last couple days.

I should have sold some of my stock when I was up but wasn't paying close enough attention to them.

I have made $2,700 in the last 4 days in my real portfolio though. :-)

Made $1,100 just today from VISA.

    Re: not fun anymore

I want to thank all of you for the messages of encouragement. I bet there are many newbies that feel the same way I do and think hopeless thoughts about their current situation. Some of the examples that I've read sound like some of you are worse off than I am. I took those to heart, picked up a book on investing for dummys and have a renewed sense of enthusiasm for the game. I don't need no stinking reset button! Thank you any way, Mr. WSS admin. Good luck to you all.

    Re: not fun anymore

The fun is in challenging yourself to do your research and due diligence. The market is just like a gambling casino. Most of the people will do less than well, but those who study the components of the game will eventually start to pull ahead. Use your watch list and look at the charts and latest news about the stocks. Some senior analysts are saying that stocks are not the way to go right now and that's kind of obvious for many reasons. It's a game. Watch some Bloomberg and CNBC analysts and do some related reading. The Financial Times is very good.

One thing you have to remember even especially if you are new to the stock market...this is rough times, this will most likely go down in history as one of the worse bear markets ever, and if you can survive this (no pun intended lol) imagine what you'll be able to do in a bull market?

    Re: not fun anymore

I have played for a long time with portfolios that were well below $100K, and the lessons I learned while doing that were invaluable.  There was a time when I would have loved the idea of a reset button, but now I would not give up so easily.

    James - Interesting new picture...
