I've managed to loose over three thousand dollars in just three weeks. I don't like this game anymore! Man, did I start this at the wrong time.

 i haven't been playing much longer than you, you just have to get used to ups and downs, but it is possible to get out of the hole, keep your head up have fun and learn from your mistakes and remember the things that go good!!!   HAVE FUN !!!!!

Good experience for real life investing. The market is volatile and learning from mistakes with fake money is better than loosing your a** in real life.

I have been playing for 11 months, and I cannot tell you how many times I have been discouraged and wanted to quit.  For my first three contests I ended up in the bottom 10%!!  This contest I have been able to stay above the original $100,000 so far and am in the top 10% of rankings, but it has taken me this long to do it.  It is a learning process and one thing I have learned is to not give up when things are looking bad, and even in a bad market there is money to be made (although I haven't been as successful as I would like in finding it).  Good Luck!

It's a game, hopefully you haven't lost 3K in your real life (portfolio, 401K, etc) just take it as a learning experience.  Meet new and very insightful, market savvy folk. 

Yep it can make you scream or pull your hair out, but you gotta admit...it's never a dull moment!

just have fun. i am doing okay now but my first portfolio is at 52K , learn from your mistakes. make some friends and just have a good time

peter ~ you have the right idea...and hey there is always next game if this one tanks....take whatever you learn from making the mistakes on this game and use it to your advantage in the next game....did you learn that you need to hold on to your trades longer and be more patient before you sell?....did you learn that you buy to early and don't wait for the best price?...what have you learned about yourself from this game that you can take into the next game to make yourself a better trader?...

Hi, I began around the same time as you did and I am up over $6,000!!!  Not bragging, I actually am not happy with the results but I will continue to play this game and any other until I am a WINNER!!  Either in the game or my live accounts.  I am not a stock buyer.  I normally trade options. I am using this time to hone my trading skills, virtually.  And GREED has been my downfall.  So hang in there and play the stocks that you are familiar with, and if you don't know any then get to know a few and watch them closely......play them up and down......STAY IN THE GAME!  Godspeed.

 I agree it is fun, I wish it wasn't so sucky of a market since I started. I want to try a balanced portfolio in real life, I'm glad that I didn't start now. I feel sorry for those with an agressive portfolio.

I'm trying my luck with some 'short' game. In my first try I lost 15 cents. Hey, not to good, but not to bad. I jumped right back and shorted three more.

Hey Bgiugy.  LOL-  Is that a mixed up "big guy"?  I see you made so money yesterday, so maybe things are looking up.  Today is Friday the 13th.  It has to be a good one after the sorry week we had.

The games are for people who live in the USA and Canada or from everybody? 

Any one from any where can play, but I think you have to live in the US or Canada to win the prizes, unless they changed the rules since the last time that question was asked.
