oh barbara~ i feel for you...I just got rid of my laptop because the hard driver went bad...of course it went bad two months after the warranty was in effect...

computers anymore are just junk i think.

 it seems that they typically fail much more easily and earlier than they used to.  i think manufacturers just want them to work for 2 years or so, and then you have to buy a new one....buying a computer has become worse than buying a car anymore.

I would definitely agree with that!  I have had about three other people tell me this week that their computer failed right after the warranty went out on it.  They just are not built to last, and I think this is mainly because they think technology is moving too fast and they will be outdated soon.  However, they need to take into consideration the fact that not all people make as much money as computer manufacturers make!!  I, for one, would never be able to afford all the latest greatest technological advances.
