As metioned by Jared it's a Ratio thing if you buy 24,990 shares of a stock($10.00 commission) for 1$ each and it goes up to 3$ you just made $50,000(rounded) profit if you sell it right away, if u wait and it goes up more  the profits are exponential.

 You are better off buying stock that is between $10 and $20 per share. With the $25,000 limit, you can buy more and make a better profit.

Thanks for the advice :)  Lately I've only been buying a couple of shares at a time, which has not been very beneficial
