One of our team members uses real time quotes for real time trading, we have never claimed to give you anything close to real time quotes. There will always be a 15-20 minute delay on your WSS portfolio.
From the rules:
5. Order Types and Trade Execution - Market, limit, and stop orders will be accepted. All orders are executed at the real-time bid/ask prices as provided by our data vendor when placed during market hours. Due to exchange rules, the web page will display a delayed price estimate of the price until 15-20 minutes has elapsed. The transaction will automatically appear in the Trader's Portfolio and Transaction History.
To me, that says you give real-time prices for all trades.
The price of our trades is real-time ... I know that when I am watching CNBC and I set an order on "Market Order" then click on "place order" as the stock ticker for that particular stock is marching across the screen, I get that price. If I click on "place order" a little early or late, I often miss my price. So, I'm not complaining about that one.
Limit Orders seem a bit weird ... maybe because we don't have the 4 places after the decimal any more. Like when I wanted to sell a stock for a certain price, and while my portfolio was showing it, in fact, it was a fraction under that price, and never went. My only clue was that the math was wrong for the price quoted. But they do go through once the actual price is met ... I think. LOL!
