No doubt, I never did trust that thing...

  Makes you wonder who or what service is giving all those recommendations.

   Only thing I use the ticker for is to see stocks symbols I am not familiar with and look them up.

Lesson learned for me.  Being new I had no clue what I was doing so being naive I trusted th ticker and it has burned each and every time.  From now I on I will look for tips on the forums and try stocks I know or heard of.

Isn't the ticker about 20-30 min behind the actual movement you go on Fox, Cnbc ...... etc. they seem more updated

than this ticker so yes I agree with you beware

I don't even pay attention to the ticker.  You give the best advice by doing our own research.

I am sure the ticker is 15-20 minutes delayed because WSS is not allowed to show real-time prices. 

I would never do anything with a stock without checking it out for myself.

I would never trust the ticker, but just as a point to note... the best time to short a stock is when it IS up, and the best time to buy a stock is when it's down... relatively, anyway.

I'm new to trading, I started last game.  I like the ticker, but also have found it to be like the old saying, "everyone has an opinion, just like every one has an a@@hole".  Basically, I've been using it to find out about different stocks, because 90% of the time that I've used it, it burned me.  I like using the market summary for picking my choices.
