Leapfrog is an educational toy company that also has contracts with hospitals and recovery units to make quality mentally challenging puzzles to aid mental and dexterity recovery. Therefore, it can be used as a health care play.

Presently up 19.66% in my permanent portfolio. While it is in a bullish phase with support at $8.61, I would not call it a buy until it falls to that level.

I looked at LP when I first got into the market and wasnt really impressed with their numbers....I think they are an awesome company for what they do so dont get me wrong there my grandkids use leap frog and so do my nieces and nephews. Matter of fact I almost stepped on Lily earlier, that would have costed me a knee cap I'm sure LOL

BUT

Their revenue for each quarter has dropped a lot since 2005 along with their EPS the volatility is high but has relative strength being strong, one other thing a $10,000 investment 5 years ago is only worth $3,133 today, and in the 3rd quarter of 2007 they showed no reports on revenue or eps

I havnt herd of them until now, no children around anymore but sounds like its worth a look

I read in the WSJ that products like leapfrog do more to inhibit the development of children, while educational software like that of ALICE have broader and deeper impact for both boys and girls. 

I didnt know you could trade Leap Frog on the stock market, interesting.

Ok I dont think a 1.5 year old is going to grasp the concept of ALICE software and what it does LOL
