Why worry about global warming when we won't be here in 5 years

Yes they have been predicting the end of the world for many years, but this time they got it right and it all started with the same idiot science that says global warming will be our end.

When science  started messing with the genome that was the down fall of man see they needed a new crop that would be resistant to drought and insects and they picked corn,... why corn be cause of ethanol.

so that the third world countrys could have a crop that could make them as rich as any drug crop and help with the war on drugs.

But i'm getting off point. see the insect resistant crops are killing all the honey bees which are needed to grow all the food we eat 80% of the hives have died, the largest amount last year.

with all the farmers growing only corn as it was the most profitable thing to grow, this year they will grow even more corn and that should take care of the other 20% of bees we have left,

I think it was Albert Einstein who said if the honey bees were ever to die off man would follow in 4 years.

There is away to stop it but we may not have the time because every one want to talk about global warming thanks alot Al Gore you killed the human race.

IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE WHAT I SAY GOOGLE HONEY BEES ,CORN CROPS, CORN CROPS GENOME.

read it and come to your own conclusion as for me I cant wait

Sylvia Brown says we'll all be dead by 2028 if not by 2012.  humorous I think.  oh, and if you go by the Mayan calendar then we'll be dead in just a few more years.  global warming or not.

Give me a break,  puhleeze!  What do you think the world scientists are doing?  I'm certain they have alot more information than we do, and are not about to let their families die. I've heard alot of doom and gloom, but this is ridiculous.

How about copying some of Revelations, it would complete this topic.

I think if you read Revelations you will see why we won't be here in five years, or 2028, or whatever it is "people" are predicting these days.  But you have to remember that the first century Romans thought the end was near, and it is 2000 years later and we are still here.  "People" have been predicting the end of the earth as long as I have been alive, and I am sure they will keep predicting the end long after I am gone.

I didn't read the article, but I thought cell phones were the reason the bees were dying...

i have never heard of this being the cuase, and you are forgetting about evolution. i do know that there are regular cycles of die offs in honey bees. the bees that survive have some. even if it is the crops, some of the bees will likely be resistant; they will pass on their genes, and eventually the bee population will recover. same for pests, the crops wont be insect resistant forever. evolution always wins.

I get the feeling I just entered the twilight zone here.

The honey been has nothing to do with corn, bees pollinate flowers not corn or wheat.

This whole theory on 2012 is science fiction at best, there are no facts to support these claims of imminent doom in 2012.

Now for all you who do believe this. I have a bridge for sale in Brooklyn really cheap.

Global Warming..... another farce.....made up by a few, many jumping on the 'Band Wagon' (hi Al - lol). If you look at the almanac there have always been varying degrees of weather and nature.

The true problem is that science ( that which man has managed to distort over time) is the real problem....to some extent. It's one thing finding a cure, knowing how things work etc but to begin and play god is not in human kind's interest.

I wonder if it is at all possible to now have on this planet any plant or fruit that has not been affected by any pesticide.......so much for 'Organic' .

Oooh... another "science is evil" thread. Booga-booga!

Or is it another "Al gore is evil" thread? I guess we get two for the price of one here.

Seriously, folks. Take off your tin foil hats already.

I didn't realize that there are still alot of us out there in Doomed World Land.

It will not be any God or bees or Mayan calenders that destroy us.

However, Global warming is not only real, its exceeding the worse case models. this could very well give way into a planet where those that survive the rapid climatic shifts, if any of us do. wiil be living  in undergroud caves,

The time is runnig out quickly and we're about one Repulican President away from  making this situation irreversable. Sorry John McCain!

Bees have mites and beekeepers use mitacides to control the mites. According to my neighbor of which has been a beekeeper all of his life. Beekeepers are misusing the chemicals and ODing the bees by mixing the rates too many parts per million. That is one part of the mystery however there may be an act of God taking place also.

Corn pollinates it's self and dosen't need bees. The very top part that you see rains down pollen on to the corn silk and that pollinates the corn. There is one fine hairlike silk for every kernel of corn on the ear and each one most of the time gets pollinated. The wind helps the pollination.

Ok, I see we have quite a few people out there that think they can predict the future.  Someday, its true, the world as we know it will be gone but no one knows when this will happen or can predict it.  All we can do is live day by day and try to make this world a little better.  Revelations says it all and thats what I have faith in.

I see we have quite a few people out there that think an old book can say something relevant to the present.

The major worry we have right now is AL GORE possibly exploding, and releasing all of his HOT WIND into the environment. If we could find some way to channel it , we would no longer need fossil fuels. WIND would be king.
