Right now is a good time to pickup the dollar because its so low.  Because I believe the economy will turn around within 6months.

Six months?! I don't think things are going to improve until at least a year into the new presidency.

yes the dollar is very powerful becuase it is printed due to gold supply, and as long as gold is valuable so is the u.s. DOLLAR

Nixon took the US off the gold standard in 1971.  The USD is a fiat currency with no intrinsic value beyond that which the people of the world place on it.

I think it will take at least a year also.  It will still take awhile after a new administration change.

Yup, that's true. It's amazing more people don't realize that! I'm not sure it would change much though. People have to have some medium of exchange.

everything is supposed to have an equal and opposite reaction so i have to believe the $ will come back, when seems to be the unknown factor.

The dollar will comeback when either we start drilling the oil in the dakotas and tell OPEC to go to hell, we take oil from iraq as compensation for the 4 trillion we have spent freeing them, we put tariffs on all incoming products and start remaking products here instead of outsourceing them to other countries keeping jobs here making our economy recover, when we stop giving billions and trillions of dollars to other countries as a charity (we borrow money and pay back more to do this),  and finally we to fine every oil comporation and return the money they have stolen due to price gouging and put all those speculators that recklessless increased the price per barrel of oil need to be thrown in jail for fraud.
