Can anyone explain Facebook to me ?? Thanks

 I copied this directly from the facebook website....it explains what they are about....

 Facebook is like a blog site. It has everything you would normally see in a blog website except the buttons are easier to use. The idea is to make short blogs saying what you are up to that day. It also is a great way to find old classmates or people you used to work with.

is a website where mostly high school kids post bios and pictures. Kinda like My Space too. By college they seem to grow out of it or so my daughter tells me.

I would like to add to my definition of Facebook, since I am user and we have a Group in that website. It is mostly used by teens and people in the computer industry because it is such a great tool for checking up on things. I use it as kind of a voicemail when I talk to friends or family. It is easy to see what they are doing without calling them or waiting for an email response. Or if they post something you know what kind of stuff they are up to. I have a niece and nephew and they use it all the time they sometimes include me in it and  I feel like I know them better since we live in different parts of the country. I am sure at the camps in the Iraq soldiers who have access to Facebook use it a lot to keep up with loved ones, since they may not be allowed to give out any information, they can still view friends and family and see what they post in a message without opening an email.

actually Facebook was started as a way for people in Colleges to contact each other and it grew from there....

I have done mystery shopping too...but only with 1 company....

SSS- how do you find more?

I have a Facebook account, but never understood how it worked.  Will have to look into it more.  Although I'm not so sure about the "short" blogs...

I would also love to get into mystery shopping, but it seems as if the places I find recruiting want you to pay to sign up, and I refuse to pay!  How else can you get into it?

First look up people you haven't seen in a while. Like a classmate. Then add them as a friend. You most likely will see their list of friends and you can add them too. That's how I did it.

Actually, it seems that most facebook people are out of high school.  Myspace fills the younger ranks.  Facebook keeps adults informed with each other.  Only the younger generation really does the active social challenges/games/quizzes...etc. that keep them busy.  Most adults using facebook use it just to keep in touch with others, share pics and news and that's about it.
